His KO percentage in the welter weight division and above was less than 50%. Out of his 20 fights above lightweight only 9 of them were won by KO. Not exactly the same KO percantage as Tony's was at welterweight. He has 27 KO's in 43 pro bouts which is way over 50% Since you're pointing that out, how about the fact that Plasterito competion at 147 or above will never compare to Mosley's.

Cotto's KO percentage dropped drastically after going up just from 140 to 147. Shane is harder puncher than you are giving him credit for. 4 of those fights that he didn't ko his opponent were agains winky wright and vernon forrest. No shame in that. Tony wouldn't have knocked those guys out either. Another fight was against cotto and he had cotto on the run at the end of the fight. Also he had a couple no contests one of which may very well have ended in KO's (raul marquez and the first vargas fight). Point taken but now consider punch output. unless ssm ruined tony's chin i think tony may still be to much for cotto. styles make fights, and i am not sure cotto could keep him off for 12 rds, unless that plaster really made that much difference, which we won't know till they fight again. or we have a better understanding of exactly how the wraps would have affected the fight. i just wish the commission would give us a detailed report of this shit.

finding the plastic in his gloves says that the commission needs a suspension as well...every fight that takes place should have someone from the commission standing there watching while each fighter hands are being wrapped and how much guaze and tape can be appllied...but we all know that theres corruption everywhere so i guess that shoots that theory unless they use different people always instead of having the same person do it for major events...

I personally think that margarito had the plaster in the cotto fight. I also think that plaster or not miguel cotto will never be the same after that fight. If I'm wrong and he can still be the old miguel cotto, he saw the mosley fight like the rest of us. Its pretty obvious how to beat margarito (with or without the quickcrete in the gloves) and thats to go forward, bang his body then his head, then hold like a mofo.

if marg did beat cotto then marg has cottos number but cotto has been tagged alot and his face has never ever looked like that even when judah cut cotto in his mouth he still looked good Your comparing a very small Zab Judah's who fouhgt most of his career at JRWW to Margarito who could of one day fought at 160?
