LMAO!!! Barrera in this video clip says that "a boxer feels and knows if there is something different in his wraps"; like plaster. Same comment came out of Lenox Lewis and other boxers after the incident. More evidence piling up that screams; "MARGARITO KNEW AND IS FULL OF SHIT!!!"

did you see the shane mosley fight?yes i did, he did not look good without the hand wraps. But i dont think it was the power of the hand wraps, it was his confidence. He looked flustered to throw and didn't look confident at all. If someone put like fake hand wraps on him he would have done a lot better.

Thanks, that's pretty much the part that interested me the most. Were the other 2 interviewers speaking in a neutral or biased tone about Margs? (i.e. do they praise or diss him).

The sad thing about all this, is that I don't think Marg needed to wrap his hands, I really don't. I also don't think he did it in everyone of his previous fights. It's a disgrace to boxing what he has done and I find it hard to believe he didn't know. I think the punishment should be very severe and I think his career is hanging in the balance. Thats ridiculous. Not everyone believes that. I dont. I think the only people that do are the ones that were inclined to dislike Margarito to begin with and this just gives them justification. But there is no evidence of any wrong doing against Cotto other than a warrior performance that wore down Cotto. The fact that his own trainer stated that he wrapped his hands exactly the same way every time, to then retracting his statement by saying he picked up the wrong wraps for the Mosley fight and also with Margarito not apologizing and going behind the Commissions back to try and get his fights sanctioned elsewhere shows Margarito has no regard for humility. It's like the OJ case. He got acquitted of all charges, but ask anyone with some grasp of common sense and logic and they'll tell you he killed his wife. So though we may never know "officially" if Margarito cheated, the speculation seems to be enough for right now as many Pro Boxers and writers have called his win over Cotto tainted. Sometimes that's worse than just taking the L.

He definitely knew. I think that's basically understood, unless you are completely naive.

We can never know for sure but it seems very likely that he would have cheated in the biggest fight of his career against Cotto, if he would do it in a fight he was supposed to win against Mosley. What a total disappointment this was. :nonono: He just ruined the greatness of his win over Cotto, one of the best fights of the year last year because nobody (rightfully so) will believe that he didn't cheat in that fight now. According to reports, the substance was found inside the knuckle pads. So maybe Margarito didn't see it. But as Barrera points out, he should have been able to feel something was on his knuckles. From what ive seen over the years handwraps are prepared on the spot. Dunno how much you can do without the fighter knowing or seeing. But i cant say i know the routine of hand-wrapping for everyone. You see in the vid Marg checking his wraps by tapping them. You would feel a hard insert or something. Even after a fight when you remove the wraps you would know if somethings up. Not sure if a fighter can claim total ignorance.
