Freddie roach in as margarito's new trainer

freddie got bills to pay, can't blame him Freddie was a boxer at one pint so i think he has little more integrity than just training guys for the Money especially when at this point any drawing power Margarito had has now evaporated into thin air and the only reason anyone would buy or watch him fight would be merely to see what happens next. Not exactly somthing you can bank on making you ton's of money in the future.

no matter how great his young fighters do, freddy always seems to find time to train washed up lowlifes like tyson, toney, and now margayrito.... freddie got bills to pay, can't blame him

i think margarito gets his license back unless its proven this was going on before the mosley fight. since he thankfully didnt step into the ring with the loaded gloves against mosley i think he will just be punished with the 1 year suspension. although well i could see the suspension extended if margarito goes ahead with his idea of fighting this summer in mexico. with Roach now on board though i think he will convince him that its foolish and to just wait out the suspension. Margarito is no good to Roach if he cant get any US fights.

Even I could teach Margarito technique. I just think he has no talent, but a very good chin and stamina. I would call it Epo, but he hasn't been catched yet. I doubt that Roach can do much with him. Sure he will learn something, but not much. Roach has taken an offensive brawler like Pacquiao to new levels and is also currently working on Amir Khan, another offensive minded fighter who desperately needs some defense. I don't see why he can't teach Margarito a few things to even out his game. He already has the conditioning, power, chin and offensive mindedness so a little defense & boxing technique will go a long ways with him. To be fair, most people are surprised how far Margarito has gotten without much technique or defense. Capetillo was more a conditioner & motivator than a real strategist.

He was one of the first people that accused Margarito of doing something illegal based on the findings by Nazim R. & what happened to one of his guys during a sparring session with Marg and now he's going to train him ?? WTF ? Unlike me and you Freddie actually talked to Tony about the whole thing.

Let me be clear I am not supporting Margarito's cause but Freddie is a former boxer and spoke to the guy directly. I see Freddie as an honest person so maybe he can see somthing that me and you can't. If anyone is gonna be upset about this whole situation its gonna be a fighter or former fighter so if he sees that Margo isn't beyound redemption then I don't know what to say other then this is very intresting. I just don't see Freddie training Tony if he thinks he is being dishonest.

Anything is possible if someone like Mayweather Sr. is training Hatton. The CSAC never determined that Margarito had any foreknowledge of the events that transpired but felt he had to shoulder some of the blame for his team's actions whether he was aware of the illegal wraps or not. It's quite possible that he will get his license back in 6 months to a year if Roach stands up for him at the hearing along with some other good character references.

Even if Margarito gets his license back, he will never get a meaningful fight. Unless Arum forces Clottey to fight him or Chavez Jr. or something. Freddie Roach is just an attention whore.
