If the Klitschko's were black Americans their English would only be marginally better :burnout:
yeah, because the president of the US, you know, the harvard grad cant speak well, can he?
there he is addressing NATO and the G20 and here you are spouting shit on the internet
I have a boxer in my avatar, you have a politician. What does that tell us?
but i don't talk politics in the "non-stop boxing" forum. you do
You don't like Mexicans any more than you like white people, do you? You're hurting Obama's popularity, you should put Khalid Muhammed in your avatar.
i have nothing against mexicans or white people. what I am against is obese heavyweights.
you fail
To be fair though Arreola is all of the same and a LOT of americans are on his nuts. I'm not saying supporting a home fighter is a bad thing though and i'm not hating on Arreola either.
arreola is getting a promotional push because he's mexican...
most people know that arreola is obese and his conditioning sux
No, they would be more popular worldwide because America caters to a worldwide market but Wlad would still be considered boxing we all know he's dominant but the public isn't stupid.
Holmes was American and dominant yet at the time he wasn't popular at all.
I used to like Obama, but a white-hating racist like you having him in your avatar isn't helping his popularity.
is this the boxing forum or the politics forum?
it don't matter if the klits are foreigners... people don't like their style. wlad has been on leno before and also he's been in ocean's 11 or something..
his style and attitude in the ring just isn't what people like.
They may get credit for the combination of their intelligence, being a model citizen, GQ looks (or at least Wlad), and being Champion or they might just be compared to the Baer brothers.
I'm not sure where America is right now to be honest. Usually we like our Dempsey, Tyson, Louis, or Ali figures (although Ali had mix reviews in his day so maybe not him).
Vitali might get more respect than Wlad because he has the hard-core edge about him. A bit of a maverick character trait who has honor as well. What would hurt him is the TKO quit loss. America doesn't like quitters although I'm not quite sure that is true now though; we have been pussified.
If either Klistchko was a QB in the NFL though, he would be big time.
I remember hearing that the US boosted Dempsey instead of Tunney after Jack lost. Would it be the same today? We certainly picked Tyson up fast because of where he came from and how he fought but that was the 80's.
I personally liked both Dempsey and Tunney and I'm not sure how Tunney wasn't more revered for being a Marine and well read but those were the times I guess. Tunney's son said his Father's love of reading (which he was considered a "closet reader"), was frown upon because reading was looked at as being a dreamer. I always found that funny because America was about "dreaming" but I guess in the days where you are working long hours and many didn't get to go to school, reading wasn't a priority.
Today, maybe it would be Tunney who has the respect of the people.
If they we're Black and American imo it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Generally speaking black american boxing fans do not like that style of boxing. They wanna be entertained and as good as the brothers are you can't deny that their fights are a little on the dull side.
exactly... both of their styles are asss... Vitaly in his prime was amusing though

They would probably be looked at as gods if they were white more than of they were black
There can only be one Black Jesus and his name is......

Emanuel Augustus
Fans didn't seem to mind the tyson era.
the division wasnt as bad as people make it out to be. there were actually entertaining fights out there, excluding Tyson's fights.
and theres a difference between Tyson and the Klitschko brothers. first off, Tyson was the one and only best guy. the bros wont fight another.
second off, Tyson was taking these lesser guys and eating them up in two rounds. you felt like the opponent could go at any moment. with the brothers, its more like...theyre fighting, theyre fighting theyre fighting, zzzzzz....oh shit knockout! ha hopefully you get what I mean.
third off, the brothers are not fighting the best competition even in a weak division. Tyson cleaned house and unified all the belts in a year. the Klitschko brothers...just havent. I know its not their fault, its the WBA's...but its still a factor.
If they were white Americans.. they would be adored by the mainstream media.. Think about it.. 2 good ole white bread American boys from Minnesota named Victor and Vince Mitchell.. With the amateur and Olympic credentials..
Christ!!! they would be on Wheaties boxes ... Have Nike and Reebok endorsements .. probably sell food and cars too.. THEY WOULD BE EVERYWHERE..
are you crazy??? no white man would ever trade places with a black man.
both klits would get even more shiit if they were black. both would be even hated more if they were black.
you klit fans needs to quit with that race stuff.
No, they would be praised endlessly by the US media people if they were black. They would become household names like Kimbo Slice.
I would VERY QUICKLY trade places with a black man who had more money than I do. I think it would be easier being black than being white nowadays.
