williams promoter was gonna give marg his biggest payday ever he turned it down for less to fight shane. that money talk is bs alot of times the fighters are just scared
Winky is going to beat pacman to it, Winky is going to school Williams. It's hilarious how many williams fans claim williams will ko Winky
I agree, i just see williams a little overrated, like the second coming of margarito...why do u think he went to jr. middleweight...because that division is wide open......williams gets takin to school by the elite welterweights of the world...i think both mosely and cotto knock him out
LOL its like playing punch-out.....little pac vs. super macho man
i think were all to up on williams....hes just tall and has a long reach....hes just as horribly slow as maragrito..who he did beat...but thats not saying much these days
i'm just saying its probably eventually in the next 2 or 3 years....just in cas boxing needs a shot i nthe arm for cash....every year theres at least one big fight that kinda brings boxing back to life
A David vs. Goliath matchup in terms of height. That's a nearly 7 inch advantage for Williams. I don't think Williams can draw an audience as much as Pacquiao does so this is unlikely to happen.
hmmm...
who is better?
the Quintana in the first Williams fight,
or
the recent Pacquiao in the DLH fight?
both fights were at 147.
of course, p4p, pacquiao is much better than Quintana, and i believe pacquiao has a chance to do what quintana did to williams, in their first fight, but the height/reach difference between Williams and Pac is much greater......
like very true...against pac i see williams by a close unamious decision on all the scorecards

i think paul williams is a bit overrated, i think he gets stopped by somebody with quick hands and feet....thats why pac is a good fit here....if i was williams manager i would say no way
Floyd vs Hopkins would break PPV records also but that doesnt mean the fight should happend. Infact, Williams was just talking about fighting Hopkins in the future and now you think him and Pac could be a match? Williams by slaughter if this fight ever happened. Pac might get lucky since Williams struggled with the southpaw Quintana but I cant see it
The fans don't like Mayweather nor Hopkins. They would indeed break PPV records for the lowest sales in the history of PPV's.
I think most would watch and might be a revenue booster for boxing...
what you guys think?
Outside of a mid-sized group of serious (including some nuthuggers) fans, Williams is lacking some support in the mainstream public. But, the matchup is interesting, we have seen Paul being outboxed by a slower boxer in Quintana, Pacquiao could dance around and use his speed, but he won't "no mas" Williams. He really shouldn't fight any welterweight, Manny can't hurt the elite 147s. I guess the marketing catch would be based on the David vs. Goliath perspective.

Williams doesn't draw the fans, he has to jump up and down the weight divisions to get a decent paycheck. If he was a big draw opponents would come up and down the weight scale to go looking for him. Williams brings nothing to the table other than danger. If I was Pacquiao's manager I wouldn't go anywhere near Williams.
