Who do you think will win and how? So many people are counting Hatton out and I dont quite understand?I think this fight could go either way its definately a pick em fight....but I dont see how everyone counts Hatton as the underdog..I feel Pacman would be the underdog..
You're joking right? Pac is 10 times more elusive than Mayweather?? Mayweather's style is to fight on the back foot and move around the ring counter punching. Pacquiao can never claim to be good at fighting on the back foot, and likes to come forward alot more than Mayweather. Mayweather is defensively much better than Pac and just as quick. If Hatton was able to catch Floyd a few times early on, he is sure as hell gonna catch Pac.
All Hatton needs to do against Pac is constantly move to his left, away from Pacquiao's left hand, and jab, jab, jab. If he does this, then Pac will need to over assert his left which will leave him open to the big shots from Hatton. Hatton can also come in and force Pacquiao backwards, take him to the ropes and fight on the inside. ODLH was able to take Pac to the ropes on a few occasions in their fight, and when he did he was able to hurt Pac with the few shots he landed. Imagine what a fit, prime Hatton will be able to do to him.
Pacquiao's chin and body are more suspect than Hattons, especially at 140 against a stronger, bigger opponent and so I can see Pac getting knocked down a few times in this fight. No way is this gonna be easy for Pac...
Yes your boy mayweather is elusive in a sense that he runs back= boring fighter to watch! If thats what you call elusive Hatton is in for a surprise.. When i mean elusive Pac will only use quick footwork to get out of harms way and just circle around his opponents. Thats a non-stop action exciting fighter!
Manny has been in some big wars with some great fighters and still looks fresh. Has 3 losses on his record.
Ricky has been knocked down once in his entire career, and lost to the prime, best P4P fighter in the world. At a higher weight, no less.
Manny has been successful under Roach's tutelage for many years.
Ricky's currently being trained by, arguably, one of the best trainers in boxing.
They're both 30 yrs old, with the edge in reach going to Manny at 2" longer.
They both have the same win/ko record at 48W 36KO's.
By all indications, this should be a pick'em fight, though Manny has been the more active one recently.
Still another month to go to decide who should be considered top dog at 140.
Why, thank you....
Of course Manny has been KD before..
But were not talking about Manny's chin here.
We're talking about who got the better chin between Oscar and Ricky, remember.
You said ,Ricky got a better chin than Oscar.
And I say NO.
You don't know jack if you don't think so...
no. i said ricky has a better chin than the de la hoya manny beat. i NEVER said through his whole career. and anyway hatton does have a good chin
theres miss conceptions about this fight...hatton cut early on in his carear, in the last fight with paulie, floyd sr. said he was more concerned about swelling...and people keep saying hatton wil get caught coming in thats crap....pac is off balance lots of times when throws the big left, and i see hatton catching manny...marquez exposed this
The swelling is just as much of a concern. I have seen several of Hatton's fights and I have been a fan for several years. He has done better with the cutting stuff since he had that surgery where they implanted those pads under the skin or whatever, but he still show damage rather easily.
He beat the tar out of Malinaggi, yet still showed the damage caused by the "tragic Man's" soft punches. Hatton does not use his jab enough and often throws wide with his hooks while jumping in. He improved in his last two fights with the use of the jab and more straighter punching, but he drifts back to his old ways when things don't work for him.
Pacquiao will be like a little bee in the ring and Hatton will have to chase him all night. Ricky will eat the left, I hate to say.
Maybe not, if Hatton gets in close, he definitely has the power to hurt Manny- I just don't think Hatton will be able to find him.
I can see this fight going 2 ways hatton KO'ing pacman in the first 6 rounds or it goes all 12 rounds with a decision really not sure whos going to win if it goes 12 rounds though.
Why, thank you....

fool!
don't you know oscar has been ko'd/tko'd twice?
ricky only has been ko'd once! and it was when he slipped and accidently ran into the ring post!
ricky's chin > oscar's chin
I think it would raise a few eyebrows but I don't think it'd be particularly shocking considering Pacquiao and his chin have been relatively untested above 130. David Diaz and a weight drained/shot DLH doesn't prove much so losing to Hatton probably won't be too shocking.
i think it'll raise more than a few eyebrows.
yes , looking at it on paper you could say hatton has a chance.
looking at the styles you can find a case for how ricky can win.
the odds should actually be 50-50 or 55-45.
but at the end of the day when manny beats down ricky , people will think to themself , "i knew it" or "i thought that's what would happen."
on the other hand if ricky beats pacquiao people would be very surprised.
all you have done is list when hattons been hit well or put down. which boxer has been put down?? im prity sure manny has during his career so get out of his arse
and its Lazcano not Lascano
Why, thank you....

yeah its nice to meet an american hatton fan for a change lol. i went to the mayweather fight aswell, can admit he got his ass kicked but was an awesome weekend
ill be one of the thousands of brits invading vegas. hatton has the biggest fanbase in boxing

I see Pacquiao winning, possibly stopping Hatton late. I would never count Ricky out though, he is a tough guy, but I don't think he can cut it at the very top level with the likes of Mayweather or Pacquiao.
I'm prepared to be proved wrong, but considering the difference in skills, speed, and overall boxing brain, Pacquiao wins.
I agree with you to some degree, like hatton would get clocked by most of the premier welterweights of the world....but with hatton at 140 against pac whos never been here before, and the only 2 bigger guys he fought above 130 was david diaz and a lighter than pacquiao de la hoya, i just see manny running into a moving train...but i could be wrong....and hatton is similar to de la hoya, sells more tickets then anyother boxer alive today, and knows how to promote
I take it you've only watched Hatton's worst performances at 147 - a weight he's never been comfortable at.
How did Hatton get dropped by only one punch? Every fighter gets knocked down by one punch, unless they get hit again on the way down. Hatton had taken ALOT of punishment that night against PBF and that shot that KO'd him was an accurate, hard shot to the temple, that caught Hatton off balance. Mayweather is bigger than him and ALOT bigger than Pacquiao.
Oh, and you also fail to acknowledge the reality that Hatton has only been knocked down twice against Mayweather at 147 and NEVER at 140. I'm pretty sure that every fighter gets rocked by punches at some points in their career - it does not prove they have a weak chin, if anything it shows they have a good chin for not going down.
I know your a Pac fan, so in regards to Pacquiao:
Hatton has faced much bigger and harder punchers than Pac.
Pacquiao has been rocked by punches at bantamweight and been floored by guys at featherweight, so his chin and body are far from impressive. Imagine what the champ at 140 is gonna do to him.
Hatton is gonna pressure him like no other, so his in out tactics will not work as effectively and he will be on the back foot alot in the fight - something he is not comfortable with.
I see Hatton KO'ing Pac after 6-7 rounds, after knocking him down a few times to boot.
well said, i see it going longer than 6-7 rounds, because pac is tough, but i agree his chin is way overrated, even paulie had a really good chin, and we all saw what happened there, and paulie didnt even get stopped by cotto, but hatton stopped him
how am i delusional, and none takin.....how do u see this fight going?

Oh common, Richloc .
Hatton got dropped silly on ONE pUNCH by PBF with his Pillow gloves.
When was the last time PBF did that?
He also got knocked down by Collazo on the 12th round but the ref didn't call it.
And again was on his way to go head to head with the ring post(lol) but he was fortunate enough to hang on to Collazo.
Oscar has faced bigger and harder puncher than Hatton.
Oscar's chin- One of the best of all time.
Hatton's chin- he got rocked by a semi -retired Juan Lascano.
