Yeah Eddy did break his jaw and then AA demolished him in 4 rounds...AA is one thing that the Hoax will never be.....UNDEFEATED!
I'm not overhyping him but this guy that AA fought last night was better than Rubio, Lockett (as soon to add Mora) combined.
Oh wow, he has a "0" on his record. All that tells me is, once again, he has fought NO ONE besides Miranda and the Miranda he beat in 4 rounds was a shell of what he used to be. If knocking out the lineal MW champ and then decisioning him at a higher weight makes you a "hoax" then I guess you are right. The only hoax is AA and the hype train he is riding. Who did he beat to win that alphabet soup again? The only straps that matter are the ones around Pavlik's waist and "The Queen" is in for an awakening when they meet up.
AA's promoter is talkin' about fightin' Vernon Forrest in June to help build his American appeal then Pavlik at the end of the year......thats their plan.
And who exactly has abraham beat that justifies your claim? FFS he had his jaw shattered by Miranda at 160. The only one to make Kelly look bad was Hopkins, who would crush abraham. AA is one of the most over hyped fighters on this board, built a career on fighting cans. His only notable win came over someone who Pavlik also ko'd, so what does that say about abraham.

Abraham should but the Hoax shouldn't...he doesn't have the skill set, boxing ability or intelligence to beat those guys at 168 and without the ability to bully his opponent, he will get demolished.

It's kind of ironic the stark contrast to the mw and smw divisions. The smw division is loaded with talent while the mw division seems very dismal at the moment. I say, Abraham and Pavlik both move up to super middleweight..

Abraham's body is telling him to move up, he got tired after the rally at the 5th (?). He's fighting in spurts way too much and he's going to get outworked sooner or later, and as I noted before, he gets hit by left hooks way too much. Simon looked like a pretty good fighter though, good chin, good heart and seemed pretty sound technically.

Do you think Carl Froch would beat him? Or Karoly Balszay? I would give Kessler and Taylor a great chance of outboxing Abraham but Bute showed his vulnerability in the later rounds against Andrade.
I wish he would move up because I'm tired of seeing title defenses like this. No offense to Simon who proved to be a tough competitor but I want to see the big fights happen at 160-168.
Abraham did talk about fighting Pavlik and going to America in the post-fight interviews.

The top few SMWs all beat Abraham pretty handily. Kessler makes AA look like a dead set amateur.

In my opinion it's doubtful that Abraham will stay at 160 after this.
Arthur Abraham wins a comfortable decision and remains the champion.

Abraham presses the fight in the 12th round and lands numerous clean punches on Simon's chin. Simon shows his toughness and becomes the first man to last the full 12 round distance with Abraham since Edison Miranda back in 2006.
Simon is taking Abraham's power well in the 10th round. He is not landing a great amount of punches however even though Abraham seems to be wide open for counters at times.
The majority of posters on boxingscene seem to believe that Abraham would destroy Pavlik. Question to the posters watching the fight: Does Abraham look like he can beat Pavlik?..
Not based on this performance. He is wild with his punches and exhausted even though there hasn't been much action.
The weight-draining might have gotten to him.
