He had way too much muscle on top before.
Will it help his chin though? doubt it. Maybe a little.
Barrera looks in great shape also.
MAB looks pretty good considering he's only fully trained for this fight for 14 days. I know he had a fight before and carried forwards some of his fitness, but still, impressive.
Khan looks good, perhaps a tad flat though. He almost looks a bit like Malignaggi to me at times, can't quite work out why though, tall and long arms at the weight perhaps...
there is no doubt that he is smaller on top, id be interested in seeing how big his legs are now, i heard they have been worked on alot, with roachs idea being that the stronger his legs the better punch he could take.
Khan late!
Although i hope Marco wins.
I have a feeling there won't be any "late". Can't see this going the distance. Either Barrera is too old and slow or Khan's chin doesn't hold up.

wow, they took a lot of meat off of khan.
Which is why it's bad. 135 shouldn't be pushing it if he was in very good shape, he's a relatively small guy for the weight, he should have made it without much difficulty even at his age.
Yeah, it is slightly worrying.

Really? I haven't watched the weigh-in yet.
I know he's been weighing more than 135 for the last two fights. For Ventura he was 137.5, and for Rojas it was 140, I think.
Maybe 135 is pushing it.

I take what I said back, he's probably in similar shape to his last fight, it's not good that he had to take off all his clothes then started drinking right away. He'll probably be soft around the middle again.

He did 15 days training at altitude. Overall he did 2 months training.

They both look like they're in very good shape, that's the best I've seen Barrera look at 135, those 15 days of preparing for this fight must've been intense because he didn't look this good against Rojas.

ooook, mabye he is not smaller up top. lol
he looks just a big,but with a little bit more body fat in the recent one.
thanks for puttin that pic up man :-)
Your 100% right, I have said this a million times, you can't improve the chin. You just can't, either you have it or you don't......
For some reason, some guys can just take a better punch than others, same reason some guys are naturaly faster and can hit harder. It's just the way it is.
Thats true. I do think that having bigger, stronger legs will help his punch resistance slightly though. Having more weight at his base will help his balance, and may soften the effect of glancing blows. However, it won't protect him from clean shots.
Honestly, I dont think muscles make a damn difference about the way someones chin works. It's the nerves in the chin, and the shaking of the brain which cause the KO. Although, having bigger legs will help soften some blows and spread his weight around more evenly.

It will make his chin even worse, mor muscles on the kneck and shoulders increase the chin. But he looks as usual to me. Hes just not flexing like in that other pic.

Here's a good video clip of his conditioning trainer talking about the conditioning and Khan in the background .
