Yeah, he had personality flaws only a very tiny amount of people have, even amongst other messed up people. Like Park Dietz said: in his line of work, they turned out to be major advantages. He did say he wouldn't hurt his kids and he wouldn't hurt women etc, so there did seem to be some humanity there somewhere.

The most known enforcers right now are a paramilitary group called Los Zetas. There is a faction of them though thats fighting for power within the cartel. They aren't just in Mexico, they have operatives all over the south. I know some are based here in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Miami. Anyway, these dudes have cleaned out entire villages in mexico including woman and children.
