boxing needs better ring entrances..Am i right??

Havin off the wall entrances like Hamed used to, is good for the boxer if hes good, gets more pople to talk about him, more entartaining also. wish boxing had another hamed.

Oh yeah that one was like a Nelly concert. It took Spinks like 20 minutes to get into the ring. Then Judah knocked him out in the 9th.. That was a pretty good one. He should do the ring entrances for all the fighters. He can sing with Nelly while the boxer fighting that night can walk in behind them. yea..i didnt like all that dancing and all that shit he was doing..Just how it started off before he came out, the lights goin out, the fireworks which were loud as hell, then them flames shootin up as he came out..after that it all went downhill..im not a fan of 20 minute ring walks either..just exciting ones

But some of it go to far and takes away from the fight itself. I've been to hundreds of fights. Seen Hamed, Jones, Pazienza, Toney, Holyfield, Lewis, etc and the electricity that is in the air before any big fight is there because of the fight itself, not some 5 minute ring walk with music and lights.

mayweather had a cool entrance? when? i dont recall... the de la hoya fight..comin out with the sombrero on and 50 cent..Im not a fan of 50 cent but it still made the entrance better

All intros should be like Apollo Creed's in Rocky IV. Corey Spinks entrance with Nelly was more extravagent, longer, and wasn't even a movie

mayweather had a cool entrance? when? i dont recall... Guys "rapping", and doing it horribly, on the way to the ring has to go to. There was more than one time I had to change the channel while Roy Jones was on his way to the ring. And he's one of my favorite fighters!

Most poster on here are just fed up of people bringing Mayweather's name into a thread that has nothing to do with him just to get a reaction...its becoming obsessive...but each to his own anyway. Sorry my man, but Mayweathers entrance that night is totally relevant to this thread and why Im not a big fan of theatric entrances to begin with. It was probably the first thought that came to mind because the poster I was responding to had him in his avatar.

i hate how recently they announce "now coming to the ring". seems too much like wrestling or mma junk.

Maybe they should set up obstacle courses on the way to the ring too Watching James Toney sprinting to the ring while juggling a bean bag on his head would be a good laugh

Man, get over it already. I made a sarcasic obsevation on why ring walks aren't all they're cracked up to be. Would it make you feel better if I mention Naseem Hamed's corny ass halloween walk to the ring against Wayne McCullough? Jorge Arce riding to the ring on a horse? or countless others that just wasted time in my opinion? Just get to the ring and fight, thats all Im interested in. Over what???
