Marquez is a lucky fighter

First of all i feel marquez is a good fighter, but a very lucky one. Hist first fight with pac he should have lost because of a misjudged scorecard. Against barrera the ref failed to score a knock down which changed the direction of the fight. against casamayor the fight was even but for a lucky punch. against diaz he was losing but for a cut that changed the fight. Barrera is shot to pieces Casa at 37 is more shot than a howitzer shell J Diaz was whooping jmm, but Diaz is squeamish, scared of his own blood! jeez! i mean common, if you're scared to bleed you shouldn't be boxing is all i'm saying. i'm not sure about lucky, i think it's all coincidental lol!

I would say he's been a sore loser in response to the pacquiao loss which has turned me off a little bit ever since then. Dont get me wrong i still like him and boy do i have a ton of respect for his ability and proud that he has represented mexico well but i dont like how he responded to the loss. What did you want him to say? "Hooray I lost to Pacman by one questionable round".

Actually he had a loss to far past prime Morales, lol I see you leave that out. Actually Morales lost 5 of his last 6 fights. Guess who was the only person he DID beat? And the explanation that he beat him twice after that is not valid. Even a blind person could tell that that wasn't the morales we knew (especially in the third fight). He lost to Zareer Raheem before he lost to Pac. P.S. Pac is one of my favorite fighters, but to label a great fighter like JMM a lucky fighter and try to discredit his victories is not fair to say the least. JMM doesn't have the natural talents Pac has (speed, power), but yet had 2 very close fights with Pac that could have gone either way.

the only thing that really irritates me about JMM is that he is such a ****ing cry baby. I think a more accurate discription is bitter!! Crybabies don't go out of their way like he has to get another shot at the person that wronged him.

pac gets it all the time. barrera morales shot when they were in their 20's when they faced pac. marquez beats a shadow of the former barrera in a tough fight and a 37 year old casamayor who looked dodgy in his last two fights. now marquez is on par or better than pac. give me a break. pac just moved three weights to demolish a guy and gets no credit. this is blatant double standards. But isn't that how people try to discredit all the top PFP fighters? They pick apart their resume to the point that it makes it seem like they never challanged themselves ever. It isn't just JMM and Pac but it's also Floyd and Joe C who always get criticized for fighting weak compatition. The simple fact that people say that Casamayor is over the hill and Juan Diaz was no good just justifies JMM place as a top 3 PFP fighter.

True about Casamayor being old and Diaz not that great but Marquez is slipping as well. You know what I love about this comment? he has gotten some lucky breaks in a couple fights. but a couple lucky breaks doesnt make a fighter a sure HOF. Marquez is one of the best and smartest counterpunchers in boxing history for a reason because he has put in the hard work and dedication despite for most of his early career being overlooked and forgotten about. These parts are true, but the final scores (which were a disgrace) in the MAB fight showed it wouldn't have mattered. People should quit dissin JMM. He's a very good fighter who's had some good and bad breaks. When I think of marquez, lucky is not the first thing that comes to mind, that would be the understatement of the century!!! He got an unjust dq in his 1st fight for god sake. Freddie Norwood fight was dreadful and marquez probably won. The decision for the John fight was disgraceful. I am by far not the only person who had him winning both pac fights, although very close. I am not even that big of a marquez fan being a brit, but have the ability to be objective the guy could easily be 55-0 or if you give pac the benefit of the doubt 53-1-1. Marquez is not lucky...he is absolutely brilliant. He deserves so much more plaudits then he gets, and is only starting to get the recognition he deserves as one of the best mexican fighters of all-time. he's a great fighter, but not number 1. a performance like that against a person you are supposed to beat dont make you the best. It was a 50-50 fight, how was Marquez supposed to beat Diaz, when everything was rewvolving around Diaz, from the small ass ring goldenboy suckered JMM into fighting in to the Bbias ass HBO commentators. Opinion on this fight was split down the middle, and everyone stated that the outcome would be a toss up. On the other hand 99 percent of people knew Pacquiao would destroy David Diaz which he did.
