First of all i feel marquez is a good fighter, but a very lucky one. Hist first fight with pac he should have lost because of a misjudged scorecard. Against barrera the ref failed to score a knock down which changed the direction of the fight. against casamayor the fight was even but for a lucky punch. against diaz he was losing but for a cut that changed the fight.

Barrera is shot to pieces
Casa at 37 is more shot than a howitzer shell
J Diaz was whooping jmm, but Diaz is squeamish, scared of his own blood! jeez! i mean common, if you're scared to bleed you shouldn't be boxing is all i'm saying. i'm not sure about lucky, i think it's all coincidental lol!
I would say he's been a sore loser in response to the pacquiao loss which has turned me off a little bit ever since then. Dont get me wrong i still like him and boy do i have a ton of respect for his ability and proud that he has represented mexico well but i dont like how he responded to the loss.
What did you want him to say? "Hooray I lost to Pacman by one questionable round".
Actually he had a loss to far past prime Morales, lol I see you leave that out.
Actually Morales lost 5 of his last 6 fights. Guess who was the only person he DID beat? And the explanation that he beat him twice after that is not valid. Even a blind person could tell that that wasn't the morales we knew (especially in the third fight). He lost to Zareer Raheem before he lost to Pac.
P.S. Pac is one of my favorite fighters, but to label a great fighter like JMM a lucky fighter and try to discredit his victories is not fair to say the least. JMM doesn't have the natural talents Pac has (speed, power), but yet had 2 very close fights with Pac that could have gone either way.
he was kinda actin like a cry baby

e had 2 contraversal fights with pacman..thats not being a cry baby..the man just wants to fight..now cintron is a cry baby
he was kinda actin like a cry baby
im just trying to put these marquez fans in their place. pac dominates his opponents and has done this for the last ten years. marquez has two close fights, and he is p4p 1. get out of here with that b.s. marquez is good but has had his luck on the way.
who has paquiao dominated diaz and oscar? manny clearly lost to erik where as marquez has clearly lost to no one
the only thing that really irritates me about JMM is that he is such a ****ing cry baby.
I think a more accurate discription is bitter!!
Crybabies don't go out of their way like he has to get another shot at the person that wronged him.
casamayor lost to santa cruz and diaz lost to campbell.
the legit champ at 135 was campbell. jmm is the king of 135 by default because campbell cant make 135 anymore.
Casa and Robbie Peden both whooped Nate's ass so what does that prove???? Nate ain't shit, Casa beat Corrales for fu#ks sake.
You know you made it big when theres a bunch of haters talking shit about you all the time.
Yup!!! You haven't made it till some douche bag on the internet says that your knock out win over the #1 ranked contender who is also 10 years your junior wasn't that impressive.
Only a top 10 PFP fighter can live up to those kind of expectations.
pac gets it all the time. barrera morales shot when they were in their 20's when they faced pac. marquez beats a shadow of the former barrera in a tough fight and a 37 year old casamayor who looked dodgy in his last two fights. now marquez is on par or better than pac. give me a break. pac just moved three weights to demolish a guy and gets no credit. this is blatant double standards.
But isn't that how people try to discredit all the top PFP fighters? They pick apart their resume to the point that it makes it seem like they never challanged themselves ever.
It isn't just JMM and Pac but it's also Floyd and Joe C who always get criticized for fighting weak compatition.
The simple fact that people say that Casamayor is over the hill and Juan Diaz was no good just justifies JMM place as a top 3 PFP fighter.
this is ridiculous pacman is a great fighter yes we all know that but saying marquez is a lucky fighter is completely dumb your just a dumb fanboy who doesn't know crap about boxing if you think that.
marquez fans always seem to give him the sympathy vote. its always woul'v could'v with you.
simple pac is top 50 atg marquez nowhere to be seen. pac has a better resume than marquez and thats the truth.
flyweight to welterweigh(10 division gap) beat barrera~2 morales~2 marquez~1 delahoya~1 a 5 weight champ dominating most of his opponents plus the most exciting fighter of this era.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Marquez is nowhere close to that
Your talking about me being biased? I have probably been a fan of Pac longer then you buddy. Since he beat Ledwaba I knew he was special. In fact I have been a fan of Pac longer then Marquez, but you are riding his jock. This is ridiculous. Pacman has benefited from fighting old fighters, that is plain and simple. If Morales hadn't been shot when he fought Pac he punks him that is being serious. You seem to have no answer for that you want to know why. Because it is the truth, if a past prime Morales dominates Pac then a prime Morales does it easily and perhaps by KO.
No one is saying that Pac isn't a ATG, but for you to dismiss the fact that Pac lost more rounds in the first fight against JMM. You need to admit he out right got dominated by JMM for the remainder of the fight your a schmuck. Think about it dude gets 3 KDs and sniffs a draw. In other words if one KD didn't happen he lost plain and simple, what does that say?
You list who he wins but you don't list that those guys were all far out of their hey day. Sorry dude but JMM is not a lucky fighter, in fact it is more likely that Pac is lucky. He keeps fighting old fighters and was given a gift decision. I still don't know if Pac beats Juan Diaz, IMO Diaz could do a lot that would make it a fun fight. I have been wanting for about 3 years.
Pac is an awesome fighter, I am a bigger fan of him, but you can't dismiss what JMM has done. You have to step outside of Pacs underwear and look at what JMM has done legitmately. Dude is 50-4 with 2 bs losses, not bad. Has Pacman accomplished more then JMM? Absolutely, but JMM is still the better fighter.

If thats what your calling it..So wal Ali, Frazier, Robinson, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Whitaker, Chavez, Foreman, DLH, Mayweather, Pacquiao...etc etc.
Thats a cool avatar though. Pacman is a beast
You know what I love about this comment? People only started saying this about Diaz and Casamayor after Marquez beat the both of them.
Obviously it's the only way for anyone to discredit Marquez and I think it's pretty cheap that some people are willing to lower themselves to that level.

True about Casamayor being old and Diaz not that great but Marquez is slipping as well.

he has gotten some lucky breaks in a couple fights. but a couple lucky breaks doesnt make a fighter a sure HOF. Marquez is one of the best and smartest counterpunchers in boxing history for a reason because he has put in the hard work and dedication despite for most of his early career being overlooked and forgotten about. He has EARNED his spot among the ELITE!!!
Hist first fight with pac he should have lost because of a misjudged scorecard. Against barrera the ref failed to score a knock down which changed the direction of the fight.
These parts are true, but the final scores (which were a disgrace) in the MAB fight showed it wouldn't have mattered. People should quit dissin JMM. He's a very good fighter who's had some good and bad breaks.
When I think of marquez, lucky is not the first thing that comes to mind, that would be the understatement of the century!!!
He got an unjust dq in his 1st fight for god sake. Freddie Norwood fight was dreadful and marquez probably won. The decision for the John fight was disgraceful. I am by far not the only person who had him winning both pac fights, although very close. I am not even that big of a marquez fan being a brit, but have the ability to be objective the guy could easily be 55-0 or if you give pac the benefit of the doubt 53-1-1.
Marquez is not lucky...he is absolutely brilliant. He deserves so much more plaudits then he gets, and is only starting to get the recognition he deserves as one of the best mexican fighters of all-time. At the moment he is p4p #2 in my opinion but if pac loses, he goes top spot.
come one if you fight a certain way you are gonna have close decisions. pac dominates and dont leave it to the judges. he is great but if your gonna fight tactical expect close decisions.
true but most of his fans and marquez like to magnify his bad breaks by a multiple of 10 and never like to admit his good breaks. at least be consistant.
dont talk all that he should have won against pac b.s when he got a gift in the first and a gift against barrera.

he's a great fighter, but not number 1. a performance like that against a person you are supposed to beat dont make you the best.
It was a 50-50 fight, how was Marquez supposed to beat Diaz, when everything was rewvolving around Diaz, from the small ass ring goldenboy suckered JMM into fighting in to the Bbias ass HBO commentators. Opinion on this fight was split down the middle, and everyone stated that the outcome would be a toss up. On the other hand 99 percent of people knew Pacquiao would destroy David Diaz which he did.
