Do you agree: John vs. Juarez II

Caiz is of Mexican decent for sure, use New York or New Jearsey judges (the Florida judges need not apply). Indonesia has a huge population, almost as big as the US so I am sure they would both make decent money if the fight was there. The only reason I would be against Indonesia is that I want to see the fight in HD, watching fights on my computer is ok from time to time but nothing beats fights in HD with surrond sound (well other then being like 5 or 6 rows up, I never liked being ringside I like being at ring level or slightly above). I'm sure if HBO agrees to televise the fight from Indonesia, they'll televise it in HD as well. I agree, those seats are the best in the house, sitting ringside feels good and all but you don't get to see everything going on in the ring.

no doubt it was an entertaining fight but i dont see juarez doing better then he did, if anything i can see john improving more than anything else. john not doing as well at the end of the fight may have been the virus/weight issues as well (not to take any credit away from juarez). i owuldnt complain if there was a rematch cause it was a really good fight, but i would hope for john to move on unify or take a bigger challenge tbh. if its between john fighting a bum or going back into hiding in indonesia then no doubt bring on the rubber match... Oh I agree, it might honestly play out like the second Barrera fight. The first one was a very fun fight to watch, but the second one was not very good at all with Barrera outboxing Jaurez soundly. I could easily see that taking place. Cruz and Larios are not very good and one of these 2 guys will be taken out by Gamboa before long. Luevano would be a kind of interesting fight, but I do not know how their styles would mesh (could easily be a stinker). We saw that Jaurez and John's styles meshed pretty well, so why not clear up that unfinished business. At 126 Jaurez fight is probably the best option as far as money goes right now, if John wants to try his luck at 130 I would have no issue with that career move.

Jaurez is better then Cruz and Larios, and brings more money to the table because HBO liked the first fight and he can sell in Houston. It was a very close competitve fight, I think that John can possibly do better, while Jaurez probably did about as good as he can do. I have no beef with thinking that John won, but it was a close competitve fight that was far from a robbery (to me you need to win 9 or 10 rounds clear to be robbed, to me John could have possibly won 8 with a couple close rounds, although I scored it a draw but a couple rounds could go either way depending on what you like). It probably makes more financial sense in Houston for all involved but it would still do very well in Indonesia IMO and if it happens again I'm pretty sure it'll happen in the States, John did say in the post fight press conference that he would be willing to fight in the US again. ya it can make financial sense in huston or indonesia ... but no where else expect maybe an undercard of a big main ... but to be honest i think he beat juarez clearly and i'd rather see him unify with cruz or oscar larios. or move up and fight someone like linares or soto ... I just think they should do whatever to get the rematch made. The fight makes finacial sence in Houston, but if there is a city in Texas with a larger Indonesian population hold it there. Or if there is another viable location in the US go for it. The main reason I said 1 million was to make up for the short money he took, but 500-750k would work most likely. If it has to happean in Indonesia so be it, but I am selfish and want to see it in the US. There was only 1 Texas judge on the panal Gale Van Hoy, Raul Ciaz is from California and the other judge was from Ohio and they all had the same score so it was not like the Texas judge jobbed John. But according to Steve Kim, De La Hoya told him that HBO was very interested in the rematch. If anyone can make the rematch happean it is HBO. 1 million ... i dont know if he's that popular . . . i also really dont think boxing layman's would be remotely interested. If you do it in Houston and sell out the Toyota Center, which Jaurez can most likely do (atleast get close), then 1 million is not out of the question. If you do it in a different city where you can not draw as large a live audience, you have to scale down the numbers. I was just throwing out a large number to be honest anyways, give Chris John a very large pay check for his trouble because he took a huge risk for short money in the first fight. He deserves a little extra for the second go around (imo). It would be a great BAD main event.

I'm sure it'd do well financially in Indonesia and I think they would probably be able to offer Juarez good money to go over there, John's supposed to be a hero in Indonesia similar to what Pacquiao is in the Philippines. Maybe HBO can do a tape delay thing or they could stage the fight Sunday morning in Indonesia to air live on Saturday night in the States. I think if it happens in Texas again, all judges should be neutral, I've never liked the idea of having one judge from one fighter's hometown and another from his opponent's hometown, just make sure they're all neutral. I definitely agree John deserves a bigger paycheck though, although I doubt he'll get a $1 million for the fight, he'd be lucky to get 500k IMO. Indonesia is a big country though, so they mgiht be able to offer a lot of money to get Jaurez to fight over there. We would not see it though, atleast live. Oscar said that HBO was very interested in making John-Jaurez II happean. I would love to see it, as I though this was a very entertaining fight. Not to mention they do need to settle the score.
