Not sure if this thread was made already, but it is a legit question. I don't think he can/knows how to fight with a cut, especially in that location. I'm surprised he didn't tight up his D on that side but easier said than done. Discuss
eh, I thought it was the uppercuts that were doing the most damage, and they were setting up Marquezs right hands too. so I dont think the cut madea huge difference.
a damn shame, because Diaz was doing fantastic at points in the fight. He really had the tools to win, if he changed up his style a little. hell, he was having a pretty good round before the knockout.
all the same, I was pretty surprised how much damage Diaz was doing to Marquez. more than I expected.
Diaz did bring up how he could not see and punches you do not see comming always effect you the worst.
He was getting stung a lot over the last couple rounds of the fight though. I am sure it did not help but I think JMM would have got him with or without the cut. It would have taken a bit longer though I think.
