just decided to view the 2 greatest boxers ever and the best fantasy matchup fight ever, cant wait for fight night round 4 so i can Pick tyson and KO ali's ass. -but na for real, i think joe frazier is a poor mans mike tyson, and he dropped ali and broke his jaw in thier 1st battle yes of course ali proved to be better then smokin joe in winning fight 2 and 3. but come On were talking mike tyson here, and No george foreman is not as crazy as tyson, thier punching power was about even foreman and tyson but come On look at tyson the guy would KO fools in 45-50 seconds in the first round every fight. it was amazing, i just dont think ali would be able to keep tyson off Him Two greatest boxer ever huh? Frazier vs Tyson , ok it's possible we see another Foreman like win in Tyson favor but if the ref doesn't stop the fight Frazier comes back and Ko's Tyson. I got Frazier winning 2 out of 3 fights against Tyson. I assume you only made this thread to talk about FN4, and not rly about Tyson ko'ing Ali . That being in mind I'll stop ranting about Tyson, and state my opinions on FN4. Yea I can't wait for buy this for the PS3, but I really didn't like FN3 (I still play FN2 alot more often). Maybe however EA learned a thing or two about not putting out a game every year of same type (outside the Maddens and ect).

I do see Tyson giving Ali a rough fight early on, but Ali had ridiculous stamina and durablitiy and was one of the most adaptable fighters ever. Tyson would probebly catch Ali with his long range left hooks every once in a while, so he would win some rounds. but Tyson was not that great of a super close range fighter...in other words, if he got within clinching distance, he usually stopped punching, wheras Frazier in that position would start crankin up those left hooks and body shots at that range. I think its possible Ali stops Tyson too. not that Tyson isnt durable...because the guy always was. and not that he didnt have heart either...until the end of his career, he could take beatings like a man and still keep in the fight, although he would still fall apart mentally and would have no gameplan. but Ali ate up tired fighters, and its extremely likely that Tyson gets tired chasing after Ali frustratingly. Ali had a lot of mid-late round KOs, including his ones over Foreman, Lyle and Floyd Patterson.

Frazier in his prime could knock out journeymen just as impressively as Tyson did.

Frazier was down in three fights, against George Foreman x2 and Oscar Bonavena when he was a novice. I don't know where this myth of Frazier not having a good chin has come from.

Tyson at his best couldnt KO or even KD, Tucker, Green, Smith, Tillis. No way in hell does he stop Ali. Frazier could fight 15 rounds non stop, Tyson was much slower and esier to hit after 5. I believe even the Ali who fought Frazier would beat Tyson.

Ali was past his best for the Frazier fights and won 2 out of 3.

Foreman and Shavers hit harder than Mike. And TBH I rather fight a prime Mike Tyson rather than the prime Foreman Ali knocked out when he was past it not to mention Foreman had a hell of a chin and never came close (other than the Lyle fight) to being being knocked out again. Ali would have handled Tyson rather easily. A domanant 8th round stoppage for Ali. Tyson just didn't have the heart Frazier did, and would not be able to take punishment.

Get the hell out of here with that shit. Frazier was everything Tyson was not : Grounded, dedicated, hard working, and prideful. Not to mention his heart was 10X bigger than Tyson's ever was, and his left hook was equal in power to anything Mike had to dish out. I like Mike, but better than Frazier he was not. Against Ali Mike would do terribly if he couldn't get Ali out within the first 4-5 rounds. And if Ali could take the best shots from the best punchers of his era, believe me, he'd take Tyson's as well. Tyson was bigger Faster stronger hit harder Had more skill Had more defence Arguably better chin too Was better in every single department Tyson was only "bigger" if you mean weight. Height and reach wise, Frazier edges him. Faster I'll give you. Stronger? How? Hit harder? You can't even prove this. Had more defense? His defense was nearly a carbon copy of Joe's. Only instead of slipping punches with his head like Frazier would do, Tyson would bring his gloves up to cover his face. The bob and weave style is pretty similar. Better chin? Possibly. Frazier did hit the mat quite a few times in his career. Better in every single department? What about competition faced, time at the top, will to continue to fight no matter what, and all time legacy?

Frazier would eat Tyson for breakfast. Much more heart too.

Oh Charlie, I didn't know if you were a joke before or not, but now I do! Sure Tyson would KO Ali, if we're talking the Ali who lost to Holmes and Burbank while seriously ill. If we're talking prime Ali, then we're talking a beating for Tyson. I think Tyson struggles to get inside against a prime Ali, who keeps him at bay with fast one-two combinations all night.
