If floyd wants to be #1 atg he has to prove it to everyone not only his fans

First off its funny how people keep trying to argue this point i guess no matter what its going to continued to be argued until floyd mayweather does something about it, think about all the guys of the old days everyone keeps bringing up nobody ever questions whether or not they should be on the top 10 atg, floyd on the other hand will only be able to be on the top of his fans atg list, everyone else that watches boxing will never put him there because he leaves to many things undone, he is a what if boxer, all of the skills with none of the accomplishments of the real atg's and if he himself really cares to be on the list than the only way to do that is to prove to everyone that he can beat the best of his time, not talk about who we think he can beat because talking proves nothing. SO ENOUGH TALK LET HIS HANDS DO THE TALKING NOT HIS FANS

If he fights cotto, manny, or mosley(if mosley isn't too old) I would givee him resoect. Whether he loses or wins, i will give him respect.

no one with a respectable knowledge would claim Mayweather was the greatest of all time, but I would definitely argue that he is an All Time Great (roughly equates to top 100 all time)... And a pretty solid one at that (somewhere between like #40 and #70 - I've never attempted to make a list so it's a shot in the dark) bro im not really writing this for you obviouslly me and you are on the same page about mayweather its more for his die hard fans too hear and comment on. but i agree with your take on where he stands in atg

While I agree with what you say, that is no excuse for avoiding fighters. Avoiding Margs, Cotto, and P-will, win or lose ATG fighters fight the best period. He has proven nothing except he has great skills. i will grudgingly agree that he hasn't done what he should have at welterweight, but he had a long career before then and proved everything he needed to up till WW hell, he's a popular choice in people's lists of top 5 130 pounders ever, that's gotta tell you he backed up his skills with accomplishment

you didnt get the point of my post , I dont think he is top 10 of all time either all i said was if he and his fans want all of the boxing world to put him in top atg level than he needs to prove it by fighting the best out there. im a fan of boxing im not biased on one fighter i think floyd has great skills but hasnt proven that he should be atg, do you understand now
