With all The Contender fuss going around today, I realized that they have never featured the LWW division in one of their seasons. At this moment the 140 pounds are getting packed with talent, which will undoubtly attract some interest to it. Now, every professional boxing powerhouse seems to have young and relatively unknown LWW prospects that may benefit from some international exposition:
Phillipines=Mark Jason Melligen 12-1 (9 KOs)
Puerto Rico=Kenny Galarza 8-0 (8 KOs)
Mexico=Juan Pablo Lopez 12-0 (KO 11)
UK=Dean Harrison 14-1 (KO 4)
US=Ty Barnett 16-0 (KO 11)
Just to name a few. Any thoughts?
Other good potential contender types at 140
Tim Coleman 14-1-1
(Lost one fight on shobox to DeLaRosa)
Vivian Harris 29-3
Sorta fallen off the 140 map
Robert Frankel 26-9-1

David Torres 23-1
1 KO loss to Julio Diaz
Marvin Cordova Jr 20-0-1
Pacquiao sparring partner
Emmanuel Augustus could be in the tourney! That would be pretty awesome to have the drunken master. Edner Cherry could be another good one to have in there
I could see Juan Lazcano, Marcos Maidana, Gavin Rees, and other not that good, but still kinda relavant people. Hell could Steve Forbes make a return? That'd be cool
Kenny Galarza is a real prospect
Well, he is signed with Warriors. But I had no idea that he existed until Dan Rafael discussed him last year, I'm probably not alone. That is what these guys need, real exposition.
