Why all the hate for John Duddy??

I have no hate, I just don't think he's Championship material yet. Vanda scored way too much last night.

Jamie Moore is from Manchester :) You need the nationalistic rivalry. I say put Duddy in with Eastman like 5 more times. He is from Manchester but I think I read somewhere he's of Irish decent. I might be thinking of Tyson Fury - he's from Irish traveller stock. How would they like a 6'9 Irishman in New York, haha. You can pretty much put Duddy in against any decent B fighter and have a war. Matt Vanda was probably a C plus kind of guy. Just one notch up from that and.....boom.

Duddy isn't that great but I think he's actually managed to become underrated at this point. Not b/c he is particularly good but no one is giving him any credit whatsoever. Vanda and JCC Jr. fought life and limb. Outside of the 10th round, Duddy dominated the entire fight.. and with what seemed like ease. Duddy's a ****ing legend. END THREAD

Pat Burns f.uckin' ruined him. lol. Matt Macklin is Irish-ish so that could be the all-Irish clash. I think Jamie Moore (light middle) is Irish too. They are both pretty much come-forward banger. There fight was a war and half, it was like watching two Duddy's. There is Wayne Elcock and Darren Barker too, these are good level fighters like Duddy.

Man, If I could promote any fighter in boxing. I take Duddy. He'd make me rich as f.uck. I'd just match him against Matthew Macklin, Jamie Moore....those kind of fighters. They would all be bonafide wars, and they are Duddy's level. very true man.....

I agree. I like the guy. He always seems to make entertaining fights to me. I dont mind him being on undercards. He just doesnt have the overall talent to make it big. I watched Duddy v Campas the other day, after watching that i was a little disappointed last night, i wanted a war. :boxing:

Because he's boring, so he is. Boring?? I have seen most of his fights in the Nyc area. I dunno if i would describe as boring.

He gets hate cuz he aint that good, but since he has a large fan base, he is gonna get Pavlik without deserving it.

Because everyone wants to see Pavlik fight Abraham............. I am not saying he should fight Pavlik.. That infact is a fight I would rather not see.

To be clear, I am not making a case for him to fight Pavlik. I view him as a solid b class fighter. He is more often than not in entertaining fights. he is not a world beater but seems like a decent guy with a large fan base. There is certainly a place for him in boxing, just not at the elite level. Wondering why he is recieving alot of shit around here?? Because everyone wants to see Pavlik fight Abraham.............
