Im a big Pavlik fan. I don't want to see him in the ring with Hopkins again. I mean i don't think we can win that, even in the rematch. Hopkins just has to many smarts and skills.
Now Duddy is fighting at 154. And as a Pavlik fan i don't want to see that fight.
But from what i have seen of Mundine. He is probably a better fighter then Sturm, so i wouldn't mind seeing that. And boxrec has him very high at number 3.
Now in a perfect world i would want Abraham. Then Sturm. For the unification.
Bout out of Duddy and Mundine? Who would you rather?
I would much rather see Mudine, as i belive Mudine is a better fighter, has delt in world class much more than Duddy and is a former world champion, and has beat the better fighters, and would give Kelly a harder fight.

** Nonsense. You can't point to a better Popkins performance than that Pavlik match, an indication that this was a one off performance for him. You can't duplicate stuff like this at his age.
You won't find a worse Pavlik fight, indication that for whatever reasons, he was not his usual self. He was fighting under water that we couldn't see. You just need a special game plan and training to out Popkins since there's no way he'll fight Kelly's game at distance.
If the rematch makes money, it'll be done, but this is a terrible economy and the numbers the first time around were poor.
Duddy has never fought at 154 that I'm aware of in his American career. He's got options, they all have options. Kelly is the big bucks, but the right 154 belt might mean longer term pay out since he will be overmatched against Kelly. Or take the pay day and then move down is a good option.
Mundine won't fight a dangerous fighter like Abraham or Kelly. Remember, he forfeited his title rather than face his mandatory Kessler, a rematch that would've been a great promotion in Denmark or Oz. Maybe GB can get him turned around.

Duddy's people may talk about him being a junior middleweight, but he weighed 162 for the Vanda fight. He has no business in the ring with Pavlik, at least until he beats a genuine contender. Like him or not, Mundine is a much more accomplished fighter.
Mundine is easily the better fight for Pavlik. If he can make 160 he'd actually be a big MW with some skills, unlike Duddy who would be outsized, overpowered, and doesn't have the technical skills or natural talent to make up for it.
Mundine should fight Sturm instead of all those aussie cabdrivers. I believe he's Sturms mandatory anyway.
Thats right, Sturm will surely fight Mundine after he has defeated that japanese club fighter named Sato. He HAS to fight him actually. And that will be a difficult fight for Sturm.
Financially and stylistically, Duddy is the better fight for Pavlik. Mundine is the better fighter but is nowhere near as popular as Duddy is in the US.
mundine has skills and is the better fighter but im not so sure about his chin and if he struggles to make 160 it won't help his punch resistance neither. but he is a very good fighter with good skills and a good jab, if he makes 160 easily and isn'ttoo weight draine then i see him giving pavlik real problems.
duddy on the other hand is tailor made for pavlik - he doesn;t any other way to fight but to come forward and pavlik would KO him inside 7 rounds. whats more hes a bigger draw in the states and more marketable so i see that fight being made sometime this year.
pavlik strikes me as an okay type of guy, he has a good heart, decent power and a good workrate but i honestly believe that anyone with good skills would be able to beat him - hopkins, abraham, winky, mundine (as long as he makes the weight easily) would all give him problems and the first 3 easily beat him. i think pavliks promoter and trainer know this so i can see him being fed fighters like john duddy.
