To start with JMM will maintain his distance and allow JD to run into his jab alot as he circles away to his right. As the fight progresses JMM will apply sharp counter combinations (as he continues to control the space) with increasing frequency. Towards the end of the fight Marquez goes on offense and pummels JD to a unanimous UD. JD is too tough to be KO'd by JMM in his highest viable weightclass.
Or I could be wrong...If JD can consistently stay close, he has a good chance.
But I think JMM's skill, experience and will prevails...
JMM UD JD.
My question is will Diaz have his usual beer belly for this fight :lol1:
Of course. That's another thing I hate about him, no matter how hard he trains, he always shows up looking like a weight loss show contestant.
Diaz is the pressure magnet.
For some reason, I really can't stand Diaz......at all.
It's either the goody too shoes image, or the third nipple...............
Probably both.
man this fight has got me going crazy..... JMM wins he has a shot at Hatton or Pac Man
I'm expecting Marquez to win, but I'm slightly nervous for Juan. With his ballsy tendency to mix it up when it's not suited for him, coupled with his age and Diaz's relentless inside work, it will be rough for him if Diaz establishes his fight plan.
If Marquez lands as accurately and often as I think he will, I don't think a late TKO is out of the realm of possibility here.
As for Hatton/Pac, Pac is going to win that one, and hopefully Marquez will get the third fight. Those guys are electric anytime they're together. I'd watch them fight a thousand times. :boxing:
I'm a huge Marquez fan, but don't sleep on Diaz. The kid is young, talented, and his style is tailor made to give Marquez fits.....if he's allowed to fight his fight.
The key to a Marquez victory in this one is all in the power. Juan wants to fight from the outside, to avoid letting the younger, stronger, fresher Diaz bully him on the inside. Diaz's inside game is some of the best at Lightweight, let's not forget.
Marquez has to establish his left, early, and often. Making use of the left uppercut on Diaz moving in, and the left hook to snap Diaz's head back when he's retreating. Right hand leads will also make Diaz think twice about coming inside.
They key to a Diaz victory is to bully Marquez. Marquez is an amazing technician and counterpuncher, but let's not forget, he's also a scrapper : He's not afraid to get in there and mix it up, sometimes, when it's not to his advantage. If you're Diaz, that's exactly what you want to do here.
Walk Marquez down, try to keep him on the ropes or in the corners, because if he has room to get away, he will. Force Marquez to exchange with you on the inside, and capitalize on the situation.
I've got Marquez to win a 116-112 UD, but I'm a bit nervous about this one. Diaz can be a nightmare for anybody if he fights his fight.
Me neither.
Heres the way I see it.
Nate Campbell put up a good fight against Diaz and won.
Diaz doesn't have 1 shot power so if Marquez finds a way to out box him then Diaz is screwed for the whole fight.
Now who is better at boxing Marquez or Campbell?
Marquez right? So thats the end of the story...
Marquez out boxes Diaz until Diaz gets TKOd.
Only way Diaz wins is if Marquez doesn't find a good counter punch or rhythm to beat Diaz...but what are the odds of that happening?
So the fight is easy to predict...Marquez puts Diaz on a string and nails him like he did to Pac. When Diaz is up close Marquez ducks, weaves and uses his technical ability to beat Diaz to the punch like how Luis Collazo did against Hatton except 10x better.
