..MIGUEL COTTO: Who Should He Fight Next?...

a couple easier fights, resting, rebuilding.... all sound like protecting to me. cotto can slide with jennings because it was after a major ass whuppin but the next fight has to be atleast against berto. the only way I can forgive cotto/arum for a couple easy fights is if cotto struggles with jennings. Pretty much exactly how I feel.

Doesn't mean he's protecting him. After the run that Cotto had, he could just need a couple of EASIER fights. There was Gomez, but he's had a rough run. He could just be resting him, or giving him a bit of a rebuilding period. I will have to say berto or clottey, berto needs to rematch collazo and clottey deserves a good fight

Anyone other than Kermit Cintron. I would rather see anyone even a Jennings rematch more than Cintron get a chance.

Assuming Cotto gets by Jennings : Like alot of other folks in this thread, I think Berto and Collazo have unfinished business. So neither of them. Mosely or Clottey would be fine. I kind of lean toward Clottey just cause' it seems like a long time since we've seen him fight and I'd like to see him back in the mix near the top of the division. For that matter, Mosely/Clottey is also a fight I wouldn't mind seeing.

Forget about the next fight...LETS WORRY ABOUT THE PRESENT COTTO VS. JENNINGS "BATTLE OF THE TITANS" WAR COTTO!!

All these fights are good fights for Cotto but I'd prefer him to fight Berto first in MSG day before the PR Parade setting up the rematch with Mosley in the fall 2 years after they first fought. Collazo and Clottey have to be further down the list as possible opponents due to losses and lack of marketability.

It's funny because you meant that as an insult like the belts mean anything. They do mean something, to the fighter that holds them IMO. No one likes to walk to the ring with a belt and leave with without one.

Mosley, Berto or Clottey would all be great with me. I would also be ok with Collazo, as he is a quality contender.
