Just interviewed Joshua Clottey...

he is also from my city, Memphis! I thought he was from Tulsa?

I know some post here currently under assumed names because they don't want the attention and to be flamed. A lot more just lurk and read. I've heard Nate Campbell has argued about himself on some of the other forums but perhaps here as well :thinking:

Did you know that John Starks was imported by Ginebra San Miguel in the PBA but was sent home in favor of players Joe Ward and Tommy Davis? He return home and made the knicks line up and instantly became a star. You know I didn't know that. I was on FaceBook just messing around and I see "Joshua Clottey" posting something about how he's fed up with boxing and wants to play soccer instead. I know that there are a lot of people with nothing better to do than hero worship and pretend to be their favorite athlete so I post "Hope that all works out for you" almost as a joke. He IMs me, "Are you a journalist" and I say yeah, with BoxingScene.com/Boxing Digest. I tell him if he'd like to do an interview, call me. Less than 5 seconds later I get a call and guess who, Joshua Clottey. So I did the interview, should be up tonight, he's very upset with the welterweight division and how he can't get any of the top welters to fight him. It's gonna be interesting. I need to see this interview with Jewshua.

It happens fairly frequently, I get people hitting me up on Myspace of FB. Frequently my interviews come from social networking sites lol He needs a new promoter. SAd that he is letting Arum ruin his career.

Everything is about $$ so lets see how this works out. Clottey would beat Berto, SSM beat Cotto in the rematch and Clottey > SSM. That is how I see it BUT! Remember Arum would like to make a Cotto vs Pac fight. My guess is Clottey-Berto can happen. You may be right about the Cotto-Pac fight though. I'm hoping that Mayweather comes back after Pacman's fight with Hatton and decides to fight him so Cotto will be free to fight with Shane. I bet Cotto would beat SSM again and Clottey would KO Berto, so Cotto and Clottey would fight one another. I honestly don't know who'd win that fight, it would be close.

While I think Cotto may be able to edge Clotty, I think his style would work well for him against SSM. Its a damn shame he cant get a fight made, and you could tell in the youtube interview that he was pissed at Arum for not even trying to get him a fight.....This man should really try to leave TopRank.

Clottey-Berto Cotto-Mosley Winners fight each other Undisputed champion. Easy

It's Joshua Clottey though. I don't think I've run across someone who has hated on him. A real good fighter in his prime that needs that break out fight. Arum is not putting him up against his meal tickets Cotto or Margacheato. He should call out Berto, Williams, Mosley. He should also stay active I am pretty sure HBO will put him on against solid fighters like Collazo, Quintana, Hlatswayo. Very deap at 147 he will shine with lots of activity.

You know how it is when boxers post here, they get hated on. yeah, all these alt/trolls with no respect would ruin it for us, and the fighters.
