oscar sucked by then.he was horrible.that fight ws "close" becuase of the shit he got a way with(sticking his elbow in floyd's throat, while punching) and what floyd didn't do( being economical, and not taking chances)
Floyd definitely held back, when he should have thrown more, but I was impressed for what Oscar was able to do in rounds 6, 7, and 8.
Just how his papi did, Sugar Shane, oh yeah its true....DLH is overrated as fuk. How can he be top 50 ATG :pat:
no point debating with you if your gonna act 3 yrs old. prime oscar was right there with a prime mosley, while cotto squeaked a ud by a far past it shane. you wanna talk triangle theories use that as an example than. obviously youdon'twatchboxing!!!!
IMO the version of Oscar at 154 that fought Floyd is a better fighter than Cotto at 147. And Cotto is probably in my top 3 current favourite fighters.
because he beat mayorga?
I don't think easy. I mean maybe Cotto, but Oscar in 2007 was a lot better then the version that fought Cotto. He was faster and had way better reflexes.

I slightly disagree with that. It's close though.
The DLH that fought Mayorga? Definitely better.
This came up in another thread,
so lets hear what BoxingScene thinks.
Is a 154 DLH better than a 147 Cotto?
I was arguing with someone about this on the other thread, and I meant that the de la hoya that fought mayweather (2007 version) is not as good or as a big of a threat as cotto would be now, considering margarito hasn't ruined him.
NOPE.maybe years ago.the one that fought floyd? get the **** outta here.not even close.
cotto.easily.

if you talking about cotto and de la hoya right now. or last year if they step in the ring cotto would outbox the crap out of de la hoya. but a prime de la hoya would outbox anyone
10 years ago oscar yes. Now no, and even so Cotto is not done yet at 147 so its not even fair to say oscar is better at 54
Someone stated that the Oscar who fought floyd is better than current Cotto.
Have to see what Cotto is going to do this year. Oscar at 154 lost to Mosley, Mayweather and beat Vargas, Mayorga.
Cotto beat at 147 Mosley, Judah.
But Cotto could do a lot more in the next year and a half
