I know bitching about decisions in the sport is useless, but **** that I wanna vent some of this BS!!!!! List fights and why you had a problem with the final outcome.
1. JMM vs PAC 2
I'm old school to the bone, YOU GOT TO BEAT THE CHAMP TO GET HIS BELT!!! all that "It could have gone either way" is bullsh!t!!!!! if it could have gone either way it is called a DRAW. So did manny deserve a win ...NO
A lot of you are mentioning close fights or fights where you could score a lot of rounds to either guy. Here are 5 downright robberies that tarnish the sport.
Holyfield-Lewis I (1999) - Lewis won at least 9 rounds and got a draw
De La Hoya-Trinidad (1999) - De La Hoya won at least 8 rounds and got an L
Sturm-De La Hoya (2004) - Sturm clearly won 7 rounds and got an L
Ben Rabah-Urango (2006) - Ben Rabah won 10 rounds on my card and got an L
Casamayor-Santa Cruz (2007) - Santa Cruz won 9 rounds clearly and got an L
Heres one from the lower weights:
Darchinyan vs Z gorres
The one kd that darchi was awarded shouldnt have been one and the last 16 or 17 that should have been kd were ruled slips. Z gorres looked like a deer mauled to pieces by a tiger. yet he got the draw. I guess I cant complain Darchi came away with a draw in the phillipines against one of their beloved fighters, thats saying something.
Hopkins - Joe , I personally felt Hopkins won 114-113 comfortably.
so you felt hopkins comfortably beat calzaghe 114-113 by a single point which included hopkins scoring a knockdown.Yet you feel hopkins won a comortable 114-113
pacquiao was legitimately robbed in the first fight.judge
Bert Clements scored the first round as 10-7 for Pacquiao instead of what normally would have been 10-6
a mistake in which he would actually admit too
and that's a fact:firedevil
Hopkins - Taylor 1 , I feel HBO's dislike of Hopkins sort of influenced Taylor getting the nod.
Hopkins - Joe , I personally felt Hopkins won 114-113 comfortably. It was a Dull Fight, and was effectively a draw. Joe got the decision against the 43 year old, but he lost metaphorically, showing his limitations by barely surviving against a 43 year old
Winky Wright - Taylor
Srl/ hagler...srl stole rds in the last 20 secs, ran the whole 3 mins and eneded rds with ineffective flurries to steal the show. I hate that fight! Srl/hearns 2...hearns 1-2 srl all fight but ThEy called it a draw.
well you may call it stealing rounds and may not like that but hagler wasn't doing anything significent anyway.I thought it was a fair decision but because leonard was the golden boy and hagler was the underappreciated dominant champion his fans claim robbery
I thought leonard lost the second hearns fight.Really good fight and actually closer than you make it out to be without the knockdowns. but two knockdowns in such a close fight have to count as far as I am concerned
leonard states that he he sees himself and hearns as 1-1
Joe-BHop - Draw but Joe's slaps won him the fight *smh*
Wright-Taylor - Wright won
Sturm-DLH - Sturm won
Quartey-DLH - Ike's jab won
Pernell-DLH - Pea was schooling him at some points
Tito-DLH - DLH won but he's an idiot
Shane-DLH 2 - DLH won
I take it you don't like DLH much.

Manny won period.
It could have gone either way because it could have gone either way. And the way it went Manny won.
"It could have gone either way" in NOT equal to a draw...it could CAUSE a draw but it IS NOT a draw.
