I've been watching these forums for a long time, and I'm so tired of this PR vs Mexico sh#t. I currently live in PR, and I can say there are people that make money, there are others that live in slums (go to Loiza), and others like me that live middle class. In Mexico there might be more areas that are poor, but who gives a sh#t? Why don't we try to help these people, both in Mexico and PR, instead of talking sh#t to each other. Also the thread starter was just saying/posting what one author wrote. Please stop this sh#t it is beyond annoying.
F that!!! can't run away from natural selection...how boring would it be to have MEX PR at peace....:lol1:
Hold on there tough guy.....please give a link to all these "facts" you seem to be posting on here because I don't buy it for one second. I have been to PR and let me tell you, it's not all it's cracked up to be and it's OWNED by the U.S.
I don't have anything against PR, my daughter is half PR as I was with a puerto rican chick. Your sounding real ignorant though and the violence and drug addiction in PR is one of the biggest per capita in the world.
Let's look at the facts from the CIA fact book:
People living with HIV:
Mexico - 160,000 (country of 108 million)
PR - 28,000 cases as of 2005 (common wealth of under 4 million)
Life Expectancy:
Mexico/ males - 73.5, females 78.8
PR/ males 74.64, females 82.73
Literacy:
Mexico - 91%
PR - 92%
Unemployment:
Mexico - 4.1%
PR - 12%
Also the drug problem and murder rate is one of the biggest in PR per capita. This all coming from a place that has the blanket of American money covering it. If PR wasn't part of the U.S it would be Haiti.
The truth hurts but you were disrespectful....
says the guy from a place where the government can't control their ****ing country.and the reason my taxes are being spend in the wrong way.
hate on PR all you want.wtf the internet world is a good place for people like you.

i'm going to be in isabella for a wedding april 4thish - how about you procure some fiah for us to blaze?
que dices?
I find it hilarious all the Mexicans getting worked up over some idiot's comment. Then they go and do the same on another ethnic group. Pot meet kettle. What fkkn idiots...LOL
Jjajaja, you have to work you inferior complex. No PR has said anything wrong about mexico. I have been outside of the discution in this forum for quite some time but every time i come in, you are talking shit about PR. Its a trend in you. By the way you have never been in PR to talk shit like that, second the puertoricans that live in the US are wayy diferent as the ones that live here. The mayority that goes to the US are uneducated people. But let me tell you, the one that live here are highly profesional people. PR has the highest rank of PHDs an Master degree people in all US, and one of the highest in the world. By the way i have been in mexico and let me tell you the vast mayority of the people there live in a massive poverty. PR is way advance, the mean of cars per family is 4, the income per capita is wayy higher. I can put my self as an example, i dont have the need to go to the US, i have a M.A. in public relations, i run my own company, and drive a brand new Porche 911 turbo 08 of $ 225,000. And i dont need any of cheese of the US goverment, and anything from shity mexicans like you. Unlike your self, i am in my country living a well live and you dont have the balls to even progress in your own country. You dont have anything unless a big mouth and a complex of inferiority.

cubans and dominicans are more brothers than Mexico will ever be. Mexicans are primos along with the rest central and south americans.
A puerto rican talks with a cuban or dominican, he will understand him better than a mexcan or a argentinian.
I still dont know what pinche means.

Guess again PeckerHead.

Look on the bright side, at least he didn't say Mexico was the sweaty crotch pubes of America. Coz geographically speaking, THAT would have been more appropriate. :lol1:
I think he did say that....For the most part...
It's not that serious, I always see Ricans tryin to say some shit. I'm just jumpin in lol.
My bad then...
It just seems like Mexicans and PR's are in constant tension here. Good thing the Caribbean is in between lol. We'd be having wars every other week.
lol Don't even tryyy to front. There's a reason why 65% of Puerto Ricans live in the US. Orlando's a shithole and thats still considered a step up from San Juan.
And all you Prats try to say some shit about Mexico, so don't take offense if I say some shit back. lol It's not that serious.
Oh yeah, and I drive a 05 civic. It has automatic windows. Smells like mint. Has a sun roof. How you like that shit?
You have some hate for Puerto Rico in general in every post.. damn. What happened?
I love my island. I studied in the US and came back. I knew it was going to be harder to make it, make less money, etc. I still feel those who left chose the easier path. Not going to judge them or hold it against them, the truth is there are more opportunities there. Down here, you have to work your balls off for what you have. I don't get the hate you have for this island or its people. Your views are skewed and based on half-truths as well.
There are countless PR's in the US because the jíbaro emmigrated back in early-mid 20th century when the agricultural sector took a dive. There was not enough industry to support all those people coming to the coasts from the mountains so they hopped on a plane and went looking for prosperity. You can't seriously hate Puertoricans because of their particular path in history can you? These people were humble and proud, but uneducated. In the US many lost their humility and only kept their pride, slowly becoming the problem you associate with PR's in the US.
The current wave of immigrants from Puerto Rico is similar, but this time its the educated who are leaving. Primarily sick of the Commonwealth governments inability to manage their budget, deliver proper incentives to the economy and general corruption. (sounds like Mexico now doesn't it???)
PR is losing its identity slowly even on the island. We have parts that are 90% Dominican. :dead1:
The good people of the U. S. are not to be blamed for the shameless conduct of certain government officials." He argued in court and at the podium, that the U.S. occupation of Puerto Rico was illegal. His legal argument was based on the question of the USA being awarded proprietary rights over Puerto Rico by virtue of the Paris Peace Treaty of 1898. The island was handed over by Spain along with Cuba and the Philippines as spoils of war to the U.S
Cuba and Phipplines are also spoils of war for the United States. Which Mexico is not, where did the 80 million come from, Europe, in the last Century.
Exponential growth of populations.
Primary reasons:
lack of modern power grids ( wtf are you gonna do at night other than make babies if its dark after 6 pm?)
lack of modern social education programs, i.e. birth control, abstinence (like any self respecting latino would give a damn anyways...), the influence of the catholic church - no abortions or birth control etc...
social mindset about kids, in rural communities kids become workers and kids help you out when you are old...
Social views on women (a patriarchal society, machismo etc), basically they were there to cook, clean, and make babies. In modern societies, women are an integral part of the social, political, and economic engines that move a country, so they have less kids, or none at all these days. There is a movement towards independence from ancient social norms, for example my GF currently doesn't want to have kids, maybe one if the time comes...
BTW, these very basic and broad reasons affected our little island as well. We had uncle sam to help us out with our infrastructure and spread of educational programs.
If you study the urban sprawl of any nation, it's all about the same....
Mexico is just too damn big to expect it to keep up with a much smaller country, say like South Korea, which is practically the most wired and technologically advanced nation in the world (in consumer terms, not militarily etc). They are early adopters of consumer technologies. The same can be said for China, Brazil, India... they will have incredibly modern parts, and many incredibly backwards as well.

Pedro speaks "Plain and Basic Common Sense"....
Have you ever been to Mexico? Except for a few spots, it is an armpit of a country... Why do you think Mexicans are crossing the border by the millions?
To get the hell out of that shit hole, thats why.
No, its not the politically correct thing to say, but its damn true.
Im a Mexican American and i love this country, born in East LA, The US is currently a shithole as well, the economy, the massive homelessness, the gangs, the drugs, and we are a terrorist country.(It is read my post on last page and read why..............like you stated..........No, its not the politically correct thing to say, but its damn true)

Hes so diluted that he dont believe that many PRicans spawned from Spain, he might think he spawned from aliens or a dinosaur egg
I live in Peace with everybody, Im just discussing. I might say the UNited States invaded Puerto Rico, and displaced half the island, while carring out experiments, and sending the INdians off to war, but that's just for discussing, I myself signed up for the ARmy, after 9/11, at 16 years old. Shhh, that's a secert :unitedsta
whaa?? Am I naked or something, did I stray off topic? :D
you strayed off the topic just by asking if you strayed off the topic, the answer is ..........yes you strayed off the topic,
you still are a american, just like me a mexican american so no need for so much hatred towards all countries that are not PR, youre no longer just a PRican, youre also American, Youre just like me, a Mexican American which makes you half my countryman, You as a Puerto Rican American have to come to terms youre now half and half
