Any thoughts on Paul Williams' shameless ducking of this top class European fighter?
Props to Dzinziruk for calling out the supposed best out there, and props to his management for being willing to make the fight happen. We know those Germans aren't stingy with the cash so that's no excuse for Williams.
Maybe Williams' bark is louder than his bite?
Sergiy is arguably the best fighter at 154. His clear cut UD win over Daniel Santos is better than anything on Williams' resume.
never heard about that fight... was it good?

I think beating Margs trumps that personally.
BUT BUT.... PWill has a 3 inch height advantage, and a 14 inch reach advantage! No fair! PWill shouldn't be picking on poor little Sergiy!
I tell you Wlad, your logic astounds me sometimes. By the way your argument is going, 1+1= rainbow.
:lol1::lol1:
Hot damn pea you're on a roll today!! :fing02:

I accept that creating new stars is better for the sport. Not sure I see too much star quality in Serg though tbh. I guess it must be because he is white.
I didn't comment on Dzinziruk in particular as the jury is still out on him as far as I'm concerned. Still the stars are made by the networks and failure to create new stars could mean a prolonged recession for boxing stateside.
The problem here is that the networks fail to create new stars. Instead they recycle the old guard, which is a process that in the end (in a couple years) will come back to hurt them in general and boxing in particular. That time will be when Winky, Hopkins, Tarver etc. finally hangs them up for good.

Not too many people in USA knows of Sergio or Sergay whatever his name is.
Like I said... Regardless of not knowing who the hell he is. I'm still going to take PW on this one.
It is an understandable choice IMO. Wink is a name and has several top class wins. Noone in the States knows anything about Dzinziruk.

I never said he wasn't any good. Just stated that I've never heard of him.
And that you would pick Williams. Pretty funny since you don't know the opponent.
Dzinziruk stated he would even love to fight Williams in the US. I guess Pwill wanted Winky and so also the US networks thereby continuing the painful prolonging of boxings seniors tour.

Fought nobody worth mentioning.
Paul 36-1
I'll take the punisher on this one.
You never heard of him = He aint no good.
Lmao.
I don't recall exactly why this fight didn't come off. Not too late tho.
