..MARQUEZ-JOHN: One Round Of Action...

Just some random thoughts watching (watched it all the way through but just not in one sitting): It had a "the whole country is watching" feel to it. Marquez lookin' kinda Asian towards the end of the national anthems. Maybe The Land Bridge Theory is correct, no? Yo, it's SRO... Standing room only for this one. The ballers are lamping like the Indonesian royal fam in the front row. I hate it when the full screen mode quits and then you hear the announcer go, "Oh!" and you miss what happened. Listening in another language I don't understand can still be cool. Like when they say "something-something-something uppercut Marquez! Something something something uppercut Chris John! " The announcers sell the punches. They seem to react equally whenever either fighter lands, although towards the end a couple of good shots by Marquez didn't get the Whoa treatment. They must have signed a piece of paper before the fight that said no clinches. Does anybody else wait until the end of the round to go take a leak even though you could just hit the pause button? I don't know what Extra Joss Laga Juara means, but their logo looks like it belongs to a militant group. Fight the Power! Maybe it's the bad video quality, but those seemed like borderline low-blows. I had to replay the videos a few times to check and still wasn't sure. Don't think it was that many. Didn't score the fight myself, but the final scorecards were off. The fight seemed way closer than that. But with two points taken, they would have given the match to John anyways. I am and indonesian, i can understand that. First of all the one who is sitting in front is not the ballers it is the president of Indonesia. and the second one the "Extra Joss Laga Juara" means Extra Joss Champion Action, extra Joss is a popular energy drink in Indonesia.

I've heard tons of people ask for what this fight really looked like..... If it looked anything like this, Marquez got robbed. Everytime i watch this fight.. I can't help my self to laugh my fat ass.... John just too slick for Marquez... Those jabs and uppercut of John was stinging all night plus the lft hook.... Damn what a great day it was for the boxing world my boy just exposed the overrated top 2 p4p Marquez... I hope that John won't rob on the Juarez fight... I smell something fishy out there in Houston...

Chris John has improved noticeably since this fight. He will win against Juarez convincingly. Hiroyuki Enoki is no pushover and John did very well against a tough undefeated challenger.

I had it 115-113 for Marquez. Close fight though. Another thought, though I think the wrong guy got the nod, it might have been for the best. Marquez made little to nothing, compared to what he could have, and no one really holds this loss against him (other than haters.) John, however, had he lost this big fight for him, his biggest, would have disappeared on the world stage. And a truly talented guy would have been overlooked. Now, John comes to America and still has a long career ahead of him, regardless of how many fights he's had and Marquez is still the more accomplished fighter, making good money. And who knows, rematches happen all the time. Magic by accident.

Damn. First time I saw Chris John fight. He's actually pretty good. Nice head movement. All this time I assumed that JMM got robbed blind reading old threads posted here but after seeing the fight, it was actually really close. Still scored it 114-113 for JMM though. Thanks for the clips! I will admit, now that I'm less pissed they gave it to John, and I was PISSED the first time I watched it.. I had this fight with about the same score, but this video CONVINCED me that John schools Juarez.

thank you guys for posting the fight. you know, i'm a huge JMM fan, but this was a bad fight for him. john, to his credit, is a fast crafty fighter that loves to counter and doesn't make many mistakes. hes not aggressive, at least in what i saw with this fight but his boring style and defense won him this, in suspect fashion. that ref was a POS - he warned JMM and told him he'd take a low blow point on the first body punch it seemed; but the funny thing is that it didn't even land and it wasn't low by any means which was the first sign that the fix was in. for all intents and purposes JMM >>>>>>>>>>>> Chris John I just watch the fight with this good quality video... The lowblow was intentional... I saw a lot of low blow thrown on this fight.. Marquez is lucky he was not DQ'd... Thanks for TheManchine for sharing a good quality video on this fight...
