Should Margarito be suspended?

I don't know if anyone remembers but De La Hoya had to have his had re wrapped several times against pacman because they were being placed on his hands in an illegal fashion. I guess everyone forgot about this and has selective memory. In an illegal FASHION, not cement material. There's no proof that he has done this in the passed. ANd everytime you get your hands wrapped, you're supposed to be monitored, so you can't go by gut-feeling. You have to go by proof. Proof is, he got caught BEFORE the fight, therefore, he should just be left alone. He would've been perfectly fine with going into the fight with that material though. There's no proof he's NOT done this in the past either. Why would they all of a sudden do this for a supposedly faded fighter who was never going to beat Tony?? Cotto was the much more dangerous fighter in their perception, BUT the Cotto camp has been known to have a lack of communication and I wouldn't be surprised if Evangelista didn't monitor the wrapping in that fight.

if he cheated he should be fined, and suspended.

It's not exactly easy to catch, the guy who caught it is a good trainer and looks really hard for that stuff. It's not like its really noticeable, you have to really really be an expert at looking for it.

Nothing has been proven against Margarito yet. We don't know all the facts. So let's not jump to conclusions - this whole wraps thing is being blown way out of proportion. The more I think about it, the more egregious this offense seems. The plaster wraps is just as serious as removing padding from the gloves or loading the gloves with something. The California boxing commission should levy some serious fines and impose a long suspension here. Had Shane's team not noticed the illegal wrapping it may have been a much different fight. This illegal behavior cannot be tolerated in boxing at all...

Yeah I also think he should just for the sake of Boxing. Other fighters need to understand that this kind of stuff can't happen and if they do break the rules they will be punished. Not just get a slap on the wrist.

If the studies and tests come back positive that he was indeed using plaster of paris on his wraps and stuff, yes he should, he should be fined too, so should his corner.
