Bunema was coming off a REALLY good win against Karmazin and a pretty good win against Matthysse, and Martinez had been fighting stiffs.
In fact, Martinez had a 4 round fight less than 5 fights before his showdown with Bunema (which is beyond strange IMO).
Obviously Martinez has a stellar record numerically, but, not a lot to show opponent-wise.
So, the question is... who was the favorite coming into this fight?
Yeah I know, the was in there meant past-tense... I'm currently DL'ing it again to give it another watch.
yeah i read it fast, my bad i edited my original post

I think it was Bunema.
Bunema was obviously the favorite coming based off of opposition which is why Martinez is being held in such high regard right now. No one expected him to preform so well and make it look so easy.
There are preformances fighters put on that show you EVERYTHING they are capable of. Sometimes you can use those performances to gauge how well that fight would do against bigger names. Sergio put on that type of performance where he displayed a style that could give ANYONE problems. I can definitely see him beating everyone at 154 and possibly 160. I think he puts a clinic on Pavlik and could beat Williams.
His jab is ****ing beautiful and stiff. His lateral movement is wonderful and his patience is perfect.
Thanks guys.

never Mind didnt read the question right half asleep
Not much was known about Martinez in the fight, not to many if any of his fights had been televised in the states, many thought Bunema would overwhelm him!
