hatton is one of the best loved sportsmen in britain since frank bruno! he transends the sport but thats not unusual in britain! 300000 fans went to germany during the2006 world cup!(biggest travelling support in the history of sport!) thousands of fans consistantly follow the england criket team to places such as pakistan,india(even after the mumbia terror attacks) and australia! this isnt a new thing! brits have always been the best fans in the world!!

Football players are probably more popular, but Ricky is a very very popular here

yeh to be fair ricky is massively popular in the uk, he has his own talk show and regularly does after dinner speaking and he is branching out into stand up comedy, alot of people love him and what they percieve he represents

Pretty big, he's A list, has an MBE and is often seen with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand. Put it this way I phoned to get tickets for a talk he was doing in my home town and they are £25 a pop and I couldn't get a ticket anywhere near the front.
