Good call I made mention of Lederman's card in my post also. He was wrong on atleast rd 7, which was overwhelmingly Berto's (I also disagreed on rd 6 but that rd was closer).
I gave round 7 to Berto. And there were at least 5 Collazo rounds that were not close.
116-111 is not that much worse than Lederman's score. Worse. But not by much.

i dunno, if berto can improve unless he gets a new trainer. the kid cannot fight on the inside to save his life.
also, collazo was slapping like calzaghe towards the end of the fight, but I thought he pulled it through.
His inside fighting tonight was absolute crap, I think it has alot to do with how Collazo was doing that pitter patter and Berto isn't used to that. Usually on the inside he tries to set up fighters for that uppercut, regardless he needs to work on that asap.
yeah cuz of unlucky streamage I'll have to catch the whole bout real soon
I think hbo.com is actually showing fights, so guys check on there (Dream Fight in it's entirety was shown on HBO.com for the record)
but the last rounds I saw Berto looked pretty strong .. especially the 12th
bad judging or not (def bad on the 116-111 card)
Andre went out the last round and really took it to Luis.
(reflects poorly on Collazo)

If I hear Bob Papa say that Berto got dropped in the first round one more time I will literally slap him. Additionally, Lederman saying that Callazo won round 7 is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard in my entire life.
All of that being said, I had it six rounds for each fighter with the point deduction giving it to Callazo by a point. Although, Luis did not get robbed, it could be interpreted as going Berto's way by a point too.
Bob Papa and Harold Lederman shouldn't be allowed to procreate... especially given some of the scores that Julie Lederman has put together in the past couple years.
Agree with this post
Regardless it was a damn good fight and I hope they rematch, BTW Collazo was done the last 30 seconds of the fight. Berto should have stayed to the body in the middle rounds he would have ko'd Luis late for sure, also Berto needs to learn how to fight on the inside. All he did on the inside is square up with his hands down, awesome fight and great way to kick off the year.
Ridiculous post. I'm not sure you even watched the fight after making comments like that. And on top of it, 7-6? That score doesn't even add up. It was a 12 rounder.
I posted my scores after every round. After looking back at my posts I see that my mistake was that I gave Collazo two points in the 4th round. That means my final score should have been 114-113 for Berto.
Also, as of right now both Berto and Callazo would get beat by anybody in the top four or five of the division. Difference is that I think Berto still has some ceiling above him, whereas Callazo is much closer to hitting his.
You think these guys beat Cotto, Margarito, Williams, and Clottey? You nutz.

the fight was close but by the judges decision you can tell that they wheren't planning on giving Collazo the fight either way. If the judges score cards would have been different, I don't think anyone would be complaining. It probably wasn't a robbery though.
robbery is definately the wrong word. it was a great and close fight but with the point deductions and berto getting wobbled a few times there really is no justification for 116-111 and boxing fans should always speak out against decisions they dont agree with.
How does Collazo not "deserve" it? Whoever wins, wins. It sucks for Berto cus he's gonna get a lot of heat for this now.
because he got a bad decision against hatton and now hes taking the fall for hbo's love child. 116-111? im one of the biggest berto fans on this site...dont be ridiculous.
Just a second ago everybody was saying how close a fight this was, now that Collazo has lost its a robbery?
10 threads just popped up made by Puerto ricans on the front page saying Collazo was robbed.
WTF is that sh*t? ****in' relax.
