Manny just beat the biggest name in the sport. He didn't just beat him, he thoroughly dominated the man. Oscar was at least two weight divisions bigger than Manny and Manny whooped his ass. Prior to beating Oscar, let's not forget that he ran through three of the biggest names in the sport; Hall of Fame locks, MAB, Erik Morales & JMM. He's come all the way up from featherweight in just a couple of years and done it in dominating fashion. He's a champion in four weight divisions and currently the WBC Lightweight Champion! Manny is the Man in boxing right now and the P4P king.
Hatton is just a highlight reel KO victim waiting to happen. He's tainted goods ever since the Mayweather KO. Lazcano had him stumbling, LAZCANO! He hasn't done anything impressive on the big stage since his loss. In the UK he's a draw. Anywhere else, he plays second fiddle to Manny Pacquiao. Manny deserves the lion's share and 60-40 is being generous to Ricky. Sorry dudes.
Pacquiao-Hatton implodes!
Camps can't agree on purse split. The camps of Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton have both rejected a compromise on the purse split of their proposed May 2 super fight. The Pacquiao camp demanded a 60-40 split, while the Hatton camp insisted on 50-50. Attempts to salvage the fight with 52-48 and 55-45 splits failed and now both camps say they are pursuing other options after Pacquiao missed a signing deadline today. Hatton promoter Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy ripped into the Pacman, telling the LA Times “Frankly, I’m disgusted at the behavior of Manny Pacquiao. He’s a spoiled young kid who doesn’t know how to behave.” Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum, who had offered Pacquiao a huge $11 million guarantee, called Pacquiao’s rejection of a purse surpassing that of his fight against De La Hoya “bizarre.”

Pacquiao needs to shut this off lets see who goes crying on this one :lol1: Let them English fans pay to watch him wrestle with Judah instead for $500k and Manny have his $3M with JMM3 :D
I read someone said that cotto was willing to do it in a catch weight 145....
i would love to see that fight.. but i doubt arum would make it!! hes gonna try to milk many as much as he can!!!!
I remember one time bob telling him.. stay away from cotto.. in one press conference.. .cant remember.. which one....
honestly i dont know where manny is gonna look if the fight with hatton doesnt get done...
I'd rather see Pac fight Cotto next (145 would be good for Pac). I'd rather see this fight than Hatton vs Pac or Marg vs Cotto II. It would be sure fireworks.
Maybe JMM, but I'd love to see him call out Cotto! What you think about that one?

yeahh!! im with you...
im not saying that he doesnt deseve it!!.. but hattons wont give up his share just like that !
this can get ugly.. .anyway.. if the fight doesnt gets done..
who do you think manny will aim...
IM PRETTY SURE IT WONT BE JMM

I'm just playing about the clowning man. Yeah, I know Hatton brings his peeps and that means money. But that should not be the determining factor in who gets paid more. Manny is the P4P king, that should mean something. If Ricky just came off of a 8th round destruction of Oscar De La Hoya, he'd probably be asking for a 75-25 split against Manny Pacquiao. Manny's the best fighter in the sport and he deserves to get paid.

no man...
sorry if I look like clowning... didnt want to do it!! so my bad....
im just curious... because... i know hes the face of boxing right now.... but for some reason....
his numbers just doesnt reflect that!!!! i know he will generate bigger numbers now..... but thats yet to remain to be seen....
other than that... i dont see manny getting a bigger purse with anyone besides hatton or mayweather...
so... if it is about money... ! i think thats a bad decision from him.. i could be wrong...
but he better not fight cotto or margie.... arum know this.. im pretty sure.. he will work with manny to make him accept that fight... this is the perfect fight for manny right now..

I am serious man, why u clowning on me? Pac is the man in boxing right now. Hatton is the sideshow in this fight.

So it appears that Ricky is already folding. Manny's trying to make him come with a 55-45 split, then I think Manny will accept, it's all about negotiating.
Lots of fighters are dying to have a shot a Pacquiao, heck even Margarito and Cotto never hid their interest in facing the guy. Then there's you...you used to be a force in your division, but you got humiliatingly knocked out in front of your fans, followed that with a less than impressive performance against a no-namer, then followed that up with a fight that hardly made PPV noise against an overrated powder-puff punching boxer.
Oscar dela Hoya wanted to face you because you seem like an easy opponent for an aging fighter but granddad got badly whooped by Pacquiao, so Pacman inherited your May date with dela Hoya by default. Now you are stuck with a fight that you know would probably end your career, but it's not all that bad, think of what it would do to your legacy if you win! A year ago, team Pacquiao has been considering you as an opponent in his planned jump to the higher weight class, team Pacman thinks you got short stubby arms and speed that's just as fast as Pacman in slowmo, oh yeah, Pacman looks at you as a patsy opponent and everybody outside England knows that, but when dela Hoya came along, it was such a big money fight that no fighter in his right mind would let the dela Hoya opportunity pass - not even Pacquaio.
Finally you get your date, and dela Hoya by losing badly practically gave you a Pacquiao fight on a silver platter. What I don't get is that when Pacquiao practically agrees to fight you at your own weightclass and even offers you 60/40 PPV sharing for the trouble, why in the world woudn't you grab the friggin' opportunity? You know you might not get this chance at Pacquiao again. It is not that it is Pacquiao who's dying to get a shot at your IBO belt and P4P#9 ranking, wake up dude!
Very good post, Green K 4 u.
Hatton - Pacman should be 50/50 split in the USA. Hatton gets all YK revenue and Pacman gets all Phillipines revHatton - Pacman should be 50/50 split in the USA. Hatton gets all YK revenue and Pacman gets all Philippines revenue :lo1: eneue :lo1:
It's sad that pussy Mayweather is retired, I know...I understand your frustration, if you feel like taking your frustration out on Pacquiao and Filipinos be my guest, but that still wouldn't earn pussy Mayweather respect. :lol1:
What is Hatton afraid of?

He won't though. That's the sticking point. This time Pac was going to get an equal share of that revenue which is rare for a Hatton fight.
That's why Arum was trying to convince Pac to take the deal.
Hatton is a fool if he doesnt accept 60-40, both men have the opportunity to mak emore than most people make in their lifetime, not to mention they are doing what they love to do. Suck the pride shit up and give the fans what they want guys!!
friend, the revenue is international, not just us.
but correct me if i am wrong, but doesn't hatton have a boatload of fans who fly over to see him.
maybe not against malignaggi but weren't there 11k from the uk that flew over for mayweather. wouldn't those same people fly over for a pfp star like Pac?
it's live gate plus international revenue. and hatton's fans would come over in droves if he's fighting another star.
It was actually 30k that flew over, A great Majority of them had to watch in Bars and other places where the fight was showing. Look If Manny's own promoter wants 50/50 and Manny's own trainer want 50/50 why would Manny turn it down. Cause he will get some of the UK PPV revenues. Manny will probably make more fighting Hatton then he will against Oscar foe the simple fact that Manny only got 32 % of the purse not to mention there wasn't any PPV buys from the UK where against Hatton he will make 3-5 million since he is sharing the UK PPV revenues with Hatton. Wake up MANNY!!!!!!

i didnt come in to this thread to dispute hatton's fan base. i came into this thread to respond to posters who claim hatton can just fight anyone and pull in more revenue than pac
So you're saying international revenues are irrelevant?
Who cares if the fights in the US? They will have to buy it overseas where the real money is made.
money is money. it doesn't even mean that much where the fight is held in the u.s/
2 cases. look at their whole careers and tell me hatton didn't kill pac moneywise although this shit isn't about that.
it's about them taking equal pay and making money an
d giving us a good fight.
this isn't a whose better thread.
u said hatton made more money in gate fighting tzyu that's why i said lets not forget the fight will take place in the US where it's proven that pac can sell more tickets
