im glad someone else gets it....it doesnt matter whether it was oscar or charlie zelenoff...the only question was about PAC and yet another move up in weight
people thought he topped off at 126...i thought he shouldnt have moved past 130...i thought 135 would have been suicide, even against any average LW...i've watched boxing long enough to see ambitious fighters get SHOCKED and exposed when they realize that playing the climbing-weght game can be dangerous
moving up in weight is no playing matter and its usually more than obvious when you see someone that looked small, out of place, and outgunned...in a new class
in the DLH fight, he didnt look like any of the above....
if he was huffin and puffin and if oscar had no scars, then id favor hatton...but that wasnt the case
PAC-DLH was simply a 140 version of pacquiao that the rest of the jr ww division is gonna have to deal with
I don't think anyone at 140 can beat him TBH. Atleast not at the moment - he'll lose to any top WW but he might be able to take on the non-elite fighters.
Btw, your sig is hilarious!
you clearly missed the main point in the PAC-DLH bout...it doesnt matter how bad oscam might have looked...sh1t, it could have been some WW bum in there...THE main and most important thing most posters conveniently overlook is how PAC looked AT THAT WEIGHT
for him to be able to carry his speed and still have sting in his punches were THE MOST telling factors about that fight when forecasting future bouts...
if PAC was unable to adapt to the extra weight on his frame and to have zero effect on his punches, then it would be a different story
Mak - thank you for that.
Some of these fanboys need to stop with this "well DLH wasnt himself" shit. I would still favor Pacquiao even if the DLH fight never happened. However, since the DLH did happen; you have to take into account all the things you mentioned - how Pac was able to carry his speed (and most of his power) up with him at 147. You need to take that into consideration when analyzing how badly Pac is gonna whoop Hatton.
I say Pac stops him in under 9...... it will be a bloody, violent night.
hatton defense is not that good. he's been hurt a number of times by fighters nowhere as good a pacman. and dont give me that bullshit about Floyd Sr. this and Floyd Sr. that. Hatton didnt look that much better against Paulie and paulie sucks. so imagine what pacman will do to him. but i do like and respect Hatton for fightin the best fighters out at the time (floyd jr,Pacman). thats good for boxing
If Hatton wins to you think Pacman will bring a couple of bottles of beer to the press conference like Paulie did?
pac is way higher caliber fighter than paulie is and hattons gonna be lookin for a paulie rematch after he gets some of pacman
If Hatton wins to you think Pacman will bring a couple of bottles of beer to the press conference like Paulie did?
win or lose...... i think those 2 will do beer commercials together. :)
i honestly think hatton stops pac. im not jst talking shit neither, i think he breaks him down in round nine or ten. people seem to forget that oscar dlh was a shadow of his former self when pac stopped him
Hatton will be stopped in about the 9th round after a savage beating, he will ask his corner to continue but will be pulled regardless as his face will be turned into Manchester mince.
Hatton will stop Pac from punching him when Ricky's corner throws in the towel during the eighth round.
Best possible answer, Hatton is gonna bleeding bad
