LONDON (AP)—David Haye is turning his attention to Wladimir Klitschko now that he won’t get a bout against his brother, Vitaly Klitschko, for his WBC heavyweight title.
Haye and Vitaly Klitschko had agreed a June 20 fight in London, but the Ukrainian has to make a mandatory defense against Juan Carlos Gomez on March 31.
Haye, a former world cruiserweight champion who won his first fight as a heavyweight against Monte Barrett in November, has switched his attention to IBF and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko.
Haye’s spokesman, Elliot Worsell, said on Wednesday that Wladimir’s proposed defense of his titles against Chris Arreola in March has not been finalized and that means he could take on Haye.
“It looks like it’s all up to Wladimir,” Worsell said. “David doesn’t mind which Klitschko he fights and is quietly confident he’ll now get Wladimir. We’ll see what happens in the next week or so.”
This fight would have been a big contributor to the rebirth of a dead/dying division. Shennanigans.
Yeah. Anybody that can ko any of those Ukrainian bitches will undoubtable give some life to the division.
What you mean to say is, you don't really care about this fight. Most boxing fans seemingly would love to see a Haye-Klitschko fight and it really doesn't matter which brother it comes against.
Those are gonna be the same fans that are going to be on this same forum pissed off about how lame the klitschkos are or why they never engage. Frankly, I'm tired of giving them sorry ass brothers chance after chance, especially Wlad. All they're doing now is collecting pay checks with no intention of giving fans an entertaining show. So, **** em, and hopefully Haye decapitates Vitali and Wlad gets beheaded by Areola (i won't watch either fight) and we never hear about those two bitches every again.
I gotta be honest. Contrary to all the posts here about Vitali or Wlad or Haye, nobody really cares about this fight. I mean, it would be nice if it happened, but I ain't losin' any sleep over it. Or any other Klitschko fight for that matter.
