Just interested to know....
I guess both countries produce such excellent fighters and champions and since they have the same market in Vegas they usually end up on the opposing corners. That could be the reason but what fight started it all?
Was it because of Dela Hoya controversial loss to Felix Tito Trinidad???
If there were previous discussions here in NSB please post the link...
and if its ok who produced THE BEST ONE among all their champs??? for me its a toss between tito and JCC..

no they got Sky which comes with the subscription or someshit, no charge
Yes exactly. I dont have sky, i just pay cable and HBO comes with it, if someone really thinks Mexicans have HBO to watch De la hoya fights is crazy....
do you honestly believe mexicans dont root for oscar when he fights? come on man, that shit is old drama from the chavez fights...
Yes, i honestly believe that because i'm mexican and i live in Mexico. Only mexicans that are fans of Oscar root for him when he fights, but Mexico in general doesn't care about him.
you still have to pay for hbo. hbo is not free
But we don't pay HBO to watch a Oscar De La Hoya fight, are you serious? if boxing wasn't on hbo i would still pay.
You mean mexican-americans. In Mexico we don't really have the "ppv system" the De La Hoya-Mayweather fight was free on HBO in Mexico, same as the Pacquiao fight.

Oscar De La Hoya is not Mexican, nobody in Mexico cares if he loses or wins, when he wins nobody in Mexico celebrate (unless they are fans of him and not because he's "mexican" because he is not).
There was some fights between mexicans and puerto ricans before Sanchez-Gomez, but from what I understand, that fight is the one that started the rivalry.

so among those guys who was THE best?
I'm sure different people have different fighters as being the best, it's best to make your own decision on this.
JCC and Benitez probably rank highest on pound for pound lists from Mexico and PR respectively though.
Skillwise I think Sanchez was the best but JCC ranks higher on pound for pound lists.
From PR, it's either Benitez or Gomez.
so among those guys who was THE best?
