Well I was watching TV last night with one of my trainers (He is like 26 and a youth pasture) So This fight comes on, and I was astounded at how well this guy can box. Im pretty sure you all heard of him.
The fight is Vinny Pazienza vs Greg Haugen III.
Vinny's footwork, head movement usage of the jab its just all together. If you want to see a great outside fighter at work just watch this video. I was absolutely blown away.
Here you go.............
Like I said... oversensitive.
Haugen: "Hey, your sparring partners aren't very good... I'd help you out."
Chavez: "A thousand curses on your family, you are now my sworn enemy."
I've met bitches on their period who have more rational reactions than this.
Its the fact that he had the gull to disrespect a living, walking, and fighting legend. To say he fought taxi cab drivers, puffed his record up, and that he would whoop Chavez ass, then fight like a little bitch. Its just made the situation that much worse.
I guess that just makes Haugen a bum. I just wish Chavez would have carried him a bit longer.
Do you apply the same criteria of judgment to your boy Margarito when he called Oscar a coward or whatever?
I think both are somewhat true.
Chavez's record clearly is not as good as 82-0 at that point, because there were some dead mean on his resume, but Haugen obviously qualified it by saying there were some really good fighters. Chavez just suffers from being an oversensitive dude it seems like.
Oscar probably didn't want any part of Margarito, but he obviously was chasing the paycheck more than anything else. Had the money been right, he would have gone out to get slaughtered by Margarito.
And yeah, Oscar is a living, walking legend too.
LOL at the end of the post-fight interview:
JCC: Thank you. Ahora, sí, que conoces no peleo con taxistas.
GLADYS: ...he doesn't fight taxi drivers.
HAUGEN: Well, they must have been tough taxi drivers.
PACHECO: Alright. Greg Haugen, always the last word, a gallant man who took a big beating tonight.
I love how Chavez kicked the living shit out of he f^ckin prick Haugen.
The only thing I regret that Chavez did, was taking Haugen out too early. He should have made that cunt suffer a bit more for talking all that shit before the fight. Taxi cab drivers my ass.
I'm confused why this was such a big deal when Haugen said it. It seems to be common terminology for bad fighters now, to call them cab drivers.
Was he the first to do it or something?
Haugen was a pretty good fighter, and was pazienza. Both very exciting and entertaining fighters when they wanted to be.
But if u want to see great outside fighter, there are literally hundreds more fighters u should be watching. pazienza was the man tho

The "Chavez fought a lot of Tiuana taxidrivers" had me lol. Haugen was a great trash talker.
Not taking anything away from Chavez but Haugen was a heavy cocaine addict at the time.
Haugen was not at the top of his game for that fight. All-in-all I must say that Haugen was much the better skill fighter than Paz. Haugen's jab was highly underrated.
