i not sure if this been asked b4 , but i like boxing always have. But its a question i always wondered, no im not gay but i do enjoy fitness, sport and things like that. i think the top 5 condiitioned boxes would have to be
1. Holyfield - Has anyone seen the condition for someone who dont run?
2. jeff lacy - quite simply awesome shape and voted best abs in bxing at 1 point
3. Roy jones jr - extremly fit cardiovasculr ability and awesome abs
4. calzage - took lacy, hopkins and jones jr to school for 12 flat out round awesome stamina
5. Mayweather - has anyone seen this guy tired ?
i dont think the slighty older generation ali etc , would last now as training has changed including supplements and etc. its moved on like any other sport, bodybuilders got bigger, sprinters got faster and swimmers cover more distance quicker.
what you guys think ?
Jack Johnson. He once made it to the 26th round of a fight scheduled for 45rounds.
Fighters nowaday's cant even make it to the 6th round without getting tired!
Sanchez
Hagler
Calzaghe
Trinidad
Jones
Ali
ect ect
Yeah Tito is a good shout. How many times have you seen Trinidad tired ? i honestly cant remember seeing him tire once.
Bernard Hopkins. Thats probably why Hopkins is still doing it at 43 years of age. Hopkins fought Mercado at an altitude of 2000/3000 feet above sea level, and kept a tremendous pace. For a guy to be able to acclimatize so easily to those type of conditions and not get tired, tells me he has GREAT!! stamina.
Strangeley enough it was Mercado who was getting tired and he is from Equador so WTF. Hopkins also kept a formidable pace in the second fight too before he stopped Mercado, Hopkins also kept a good pace against Glen Johnson too.
Hopkins has to be a freak to throw, feint, clinch, and move as much as he does while at 43; he's doing it despite his age. His training must be at a feverish pace because dude isn't even training at high altitudes.
Margarito can take clean punches on the chin, throw, hit and miss punches (all things that take the most amount of energy) at an insane pace almost unbelievable. Aaron Pryor and Henry Armstrong are the blueprints to this style.
To think the Ali generation wouldn't last now because differences in training and supplements is not smart. Those guys went 15 rounds at a good-great pace. Not too many boxers at any weight let alone heavyweight would be able to dance, throw, avoid, and take punches like Ali did.
Don't be fooled by the physique, Jeff Lacy can't hold a candle to some of the best conditioned boxers.
Ibeabuchi is more impressive than someone like Calzaghe because he was a lot bigger. A bigger man being able to throw an insane amount of punches is more impressive than a smaller man doing the same.
Joe Calzaghe.
Never seen stamina like it. The guy could fight a 100 rounds non stop and would still be as fresh as a daisy at the end of it.
I've never seen him tired at an end of a fight, and when you consider all his biggest wins went the distance, that's some going.

Ike Ibeabuchi, for his size, just seemed to be able to throw an incredible amount of punches. Just an exceptional physical specimen. Calzaghe can throw a hell of a lot of punches too, but they're not murderous punches like Ike's were.
Lacy runs out of gas and seems sluggish, I wouldn't put him up there. Holyfield at over 210 lbs seems to run out of stamina as well. As a 190 lb cruiserweight he was in amazing condition.

You don't think Ali compares but I'd say he was in better condition than any of the fighters you listed. In his prime he could go 15 rounds with ease.

If you mean the way they look, I'd say Cleveland Williams.

you have a pretty good list there besides Lacy, i've seen him tired on a couple occasions... Mayweather and Jones in his prime i've never seen tired.

No, great stamina, but no.
I've never seen Mayweather tired, but I've also never seen a feverish workrate from him either. It's hard to tell.
I hate answering best of all time in X category with a name who is still fighting, but this is an exception:
Antonio Margarito.
This guy gets his face hammered in and throws a zillion punches, and still has the power in the late rounds in his punches to take people out. I've never seen anything like it. This guy has the best stamina of anyone I've ever seen.

Anthony Mollo... hands down.
Lacy isn't he seems to get very tired now, pre-Calzaghe he seemed ok. Maybe he changed his training?
Roy and Mayweather have awesome stamina but they don't throw high volumes of punches, there very accurate so I don't know if they have the level of stamina to throw 100+ punches a round. Holyfield, Calzaghe and you missed out Margarito are all high output level fighters and (less so Holyfield now) have great stamina.
