To me is seems that way. Haye was practically stalking and calling Wlad out everywhere he went. Wlad showed no interest in a fight, yet he is jumping on the opportunity to fight a lesser opponent in Arreola. Why did Wlad let big bro step in for him, when it was him that Haye was calling out. Not Vitali. Seems kind've like a bitch move to me.
Wlad has made a mistake. He should have fought Potvekin first. Insist on Arreola vs Haye. He would fight the winner. That way fans would have an all out war with the winner getting mad props. And then Wlad can destroy the winner.
That means one less payday to be had by the Klitschkos.
Who has Arreola beaten at heavyweight though? Arrreola has had a lot more fights but Barrett is probably at least as good as anyone Arreola has beat.
Still, you're talking about one fight. One fight at the weight and this is a Barrett who got the fight on the strength of a win over Tye Fields. Arreola has atleast campaigned at the weight for longer.
While Arreola doesn't have that one defining win as a contender, he has beaten guys like Travis Walker (28-1-1), Chazz Witherspoon (23-0), Israel Garcia (19-1), Thomas Hayes (26-1), Malcolm Tann (23-2) and Damian Wills (21-1).
I think those wins trump the Barrett fight.

...Arreola is the higher ranked fighter that has actually campaigned at heavyweight more than a couple of fights. If you stalked and called out Wlad would you deserve a shot? You almost have the same resume at heavy that Haye does. Besides, Vitali wanted Haye badly and I'm assuming that little brother deferred to the big mans wishes.
no arreola is ranked #2 ibf..who is haye????????
A cruiserweight pussy who has showed that he can't go the distance or he gasses out. A guy who has been knocked down by natural middleweight fighters...
A guy who has showed he has talent but a glass chin and horrible stamina. And he leaves his left incredibly low, which he gets away with against most fighters he fought because his resume is padded

Absolutly.
Baby bro took fat, slopy Arreola because he is less of a threat then the more polished Haye.
Let big bro take care of the threat, that is the way it has always been.
Arreola, though he has not proven himself yet at the top of the division, has significantly better credentials as a heavyweight contender than Haye, whose only significant win at heavy was against Monte Barrett.

c'mon... both fights should be entertaining. Can't we just sit back and enjoy the HW division for once?

Haye is ranked higher than Arreola by the WBA and WBO, Arreola above Haye by the IBF and WBC. According to 'Ring' magazine, neither is even in top ten. All of which tells you a lot more about how much bollocks assorted 'rankings' are than it does about either Areolla or Haye!
IMHO nobody is ducking anybody; it's just smart management by the Klitschkos. They are the biggest money fights available, one in the US and one in the UK/Europe. I think each brother has the opponent best suited to them and in addition Wlad gets the 'launch' in the US that his career really needs.
wait i forget he fought monte barrett and was rocked, who was beaten not to long ago by hasim ****ing rachman. anyway the point is haye knows his days as a heavy were numbered so why not go for the big guys before he got knocked out by a nobody which would have happened.

you answered ur own question in a way. it is because vitali is the better fighter of the two.
yeah i'm sure he would duck hayes bitch ass, they should have let haye arreola fight each other first then whoever won would get a shot. but haye and his people know he is one and done at heavy.
I thought Lewis was going to help Haye beat Vitali, so I guess Wlad needed an exciting opponent. punchers chance and all, it should be fun while it lasts
Ok now you are just being a complete fucking retard.. Do you even watch BOXING????
Vitali Hits harder than Wlad does he???? He is better technically????
Stick to lawn Bowling you Reject..:lame:
Im positive that most posters here will disagree with you. Vitali is the better fighter, and would give Haye a much harder fight. Wlad fights like a scared twat.
