yo eventho i think pavlik was overrated a little i dont think everyone should start assuming he's a bum now. he's still a very good fighter and STILL the best at 160.

The odds very often reflect the momentary fads and fashions. Pavlik was the flavor of the month so he gets all the accolades. Nobody likes Hopkins so of course people, including, the odds makers, dismiss his skill and ability. Have you forgotten that Hopkins was also an underdog to Felix Trinidad? Styles make fights and Hopkins clearly had a style advantage over both Pavlik and Trinidad. Why they would have chosen Hopkins as an opponent is a mystery to me. There's no certainty AA will beat Pavlik. The way AA fights Pavlik could definitely beat him. The way AA fights? AA gives movement and has a solid defense, but leaves his body open. But if Pavlik tries to throw a body shot, it is also leaving himself open to an AA counter punch.

Does Kelly Pavlik throw hooks? He has long arms, if he threw hooks he'd probably leave himself open to a counter unless he has good leg movement to avoid counter punches.
