Here’s a little nugget, a little tidbit for you to ponder as you settle in for a long winter’s nap, or get the cookies ready for the jolly fatman, as you cross your fingers that he won’t get stuck in the chimney, or get mistaken for a cat burglar as he makes his way into your apartment via the fire escape.
I’m hearing, from someone who heard it from someone, that a Roy Jones-Evander Holyfield fight is in the discussion stage.
From TSS, TSS has falsely reported another fight before, I can't remember which one but it wasn't that long ago.
Interesting if it is true though.
Thoughts?
yeah pretty lame fight if it comes off.
but considering how Roy looked vs Calzaghe
and the fact that Holyfield is no longer fighting under the HBO banner
I think there's a pretty good chance that it would be a lower level PPV
meaning the cost would be around $24 .... oppose to $50
still though both men should retire.
What a sad, carnival side-show fight this would be. Holyfield needs the money so he's forced into continuing, but Jones needs to face reality and hang up the gloves.
What an awful idea...
Obviously this will be PPV, and obviously a ton of people will buy it... :nonono:
I don't think it's that bad a fight, not to say it's a good fight but worse fights can be made, especially if it's Jones' last fight, Holyfield would probably fight on win or lose but I agree with you, a lot of people will probably buy the fight, even at this stage of their careers.
