How can people not like Wladimir Klitschko?

Wlad does seem the most cordial, respectful and humble guy out there, yet in some warped irony his fans (90%) are truly repugnant, they see him as a poster boy for some anti-American agenda or fuel to their racist shit they like to spew. ^^^^^See the post above mine.

I have never met him so for all i know he could be a twat, but i dont like his stand up jab jab jab style, pre brewster he was cool to watch but not now.

I agree with all of your initial points D. He doesn't talk any trash, he carries himself with class and dignity, he's multilingual, he's a great ambassador for the sport. He's had a few dull fights here and there, but who the hell hasn't? If it weren't for his chin, he would literally never lose a fight. So... he has adjusted his style to play to his strengths and hide his weaknesses as best as he possibly could. I think he is suffering from Roy Jones syndrome more than Cory Spinks syndrome. Spinks knows how to make a close fight boring... Klitschko just shuts out his opponent so bad that it is boring because it is so one-sided. Plus, the KOs at the end are always tight. I hate heavyweights because of their low punch output compared to other weight classes, but you really can't beat the KOs they have at that weight division. My favorite thing to watch on HBO on Demand right now is Klitschko's greatest hits. I actually haven't found Klitschko's last few fights that boring either... it's not like he hasn't been unleashing the right hand...

I like him. Personality wise, he's probably the most likeable in the sport. He disapoints me when he fights though just because I feel he can do so much better. He's still very good though.

Sounds like no matter what he does you wouldnt like him. Thats fine, we all have our favs and a few we hate. Why do you think that? I just said how I would like him. Throw more than 1 type of punch per round every now and then would be a start, Maybe vary his pace a little, and hopefully stop looking petrified of being hit. I don't like to watch boring fighters, Wlad is the most boring fighter I know, ergo I don't like him. Should he change from his ultra boring style I will re evaluate my opinion, until then I will not watch his boring snoozefests.

This dude is so smart, and he's really nice and sensible about things too. Oh yeah, and he wins at all costs... he's pretty much the model for how athletes should act.
