Now that Floyd Sr. has worked out the footwork and defensive kinks in Hatton for the better. Does this help Hatton's case in winning the fight or does Sr. go into Floyds corner as speculation says and spill to little Floyd about all he has taught Hatton and we see a repeat of the first fight. This is just hypothetical of course because first hatton must get past the P4P CHAMP and Floyd must come out of retirement.
There's no way Hatton is beating Floyd, unless Floyd hasn't trained a day since retirement. With or without Mayweather Sr. in his corner, Ricky still can't take Floyd.
Ricky hasn't even improved much under Sr's guidance. People just buy the hype and everybody says he has. But the only thing he's doing different is boxing his way in, and moving his head more. And he was doing that long before Mayweather Sr. came into the picture, just look at the first 6 rounds of the Juan Urango fight.
Ricky was sticking and moving, landing clean shots, moving his head effectively, etc.... Ricky has always had a solid boxing background but people tend to forget that and give Sr. the credit for it, because they haven't seen it in a while.
Really,
I haven't seen any kind of improvements in Hatton. He's still the same fighter who fought Lazcano, the only difference is that they picked an opponent with zero punching power. Malignaggi makes Manuel Medina look like Julian Jackson.
If you put pressure and get physical with a guy with no punching power, it makes it easy to look great. But Hatton was walking in without jabs, squared up, getting hit whenever Malignaggi let his hands go.
I really am not buying this new and improved Hatton business.
Na men. Not hating on him or anything. But you have to remember he was fighting a guy with one hand, and Paulie is featherfisted, thats why his lefthook didnt do much damage. I think Hatton fought the same as in the Lazcano fight, the difference being that Paulie is featherfisted and didnt have his right hand. Thats why Hatton looked a bit better, but in reality he was the same fighter, maybe a bit more patient, but still he was rushing in without a jab and getting hit with lefthands!!!!!!
True. I like the part about him jabbing more. Do you think if Hatton used his jab to get inside on mayweather he could work the body or does mayweather counter the hell out of him when he does or does he just run around the ring and not let hatton get the chance.
Hatton's new defense is overrated. He is still the same fighter with better judgment in the ring. He still leaves himself wide open when he punches. He doesn't tuck his chin in and his body punches leave him more open then a hunts point hooker.
I dont know how you people think Hatton is better with Floyd Sr.? The only better thing he did against Paulie, is that he did rush in alot of times. But he still rush in getting tag with lefthooks by paulie. Hatton will be the same if not worst, by the time he fights Floyd again. Hatton is a bit overrated, but still a good fighter, but I think he will never beat, guys in the level of Pacquaio and Floyd.!!!!
So your saying you saw no improvement in Hatton. I thought he looked alot better than when he fought Floyd
No way Hatton beats Floyd.
If Sr. is in Floyd's corner it's certain death cause he will know all Ricky's weak points.
That's what i'm thinking. He would be worked on all night if Sr. decided to be in Jr's corner. I like Hatton and I think he has a shot against Pac, but if he fights floyd I just don't think he could get it done.
No way Hatton beats Floyd.
If Sr. is in Floyd's corner it's certain death cause he will know all Ricky's weak points.

I don't really see a way for Hatton to win the fight unless Mayweather Jr. has slipped a lot during his layoff, with or without Mayweather Sr. in his corner.
