On the undercard of Valuev-Holyfield dane Mads Larsen is in a must-win situation. The dane faces italian Roberto Cocco who's a former kickboxer. If Larsen wins he faces IBF 168 lb champ Lucien Bute next and a unification dreamfight with fellow dane Mikkel Kessler is in sight.
Larsen and Cocco at the weigh-in. Larsen is on the left with the heavy tatoo (all SMW world class danish fighters mus apparently have exaggerated tat.'s)

The Bute fight seems ready at least as far as the romanian-canadian is concerned. Larsen sees it a bit different: "Anybody can get a championship fight if they'll do it for free. I still need to finish my negotiations with manager Sauerland but we're closing in."
Larsen is a big fan of Holyfield and got his picture taken next to the great fighter. Larsen feels Holyfield will win BTW.
Larsen vs. Cocco starts at around 21.30 CET and is televised by danish TV2 who's hyping of a showdown with Kessler is way over the top.
I fLarsen returns to his pre-Ottke form it'll be the other way around.
Ottke>>> Bute.
I'm serious.
He lost to Ottke -Close- but he did loose, and has looked like shit since his comeback.
This 7'th round stoppage, against a guy with only 9 wins on his record, is his best performance in almost 5 years.
His victory on points against Danilo Haussler is his best ever.
Do you really think he has a chance against prime Bute????
aight thanks man .. good to know.
what about that Kessler/Larsen beef
I know there both Danish ... have similar looking arm tat's (slightly at least)
but I coulda sworn the trained together
can anyone fill me in?
They did train together.
The story is this: Larsen is from Aarhus, Jutland in Denmark which is the biggest town in the province. Kessler is from the capitol of Copenhagen. Larsen is a the bad guy and Kessler is the good.
When Kessler won his title against Manny Siaca he subbed for Larsen who became ill 1 week before the fight. So Kessler got the titleshot and won by KO.
Larsen later fought Ottke in Germany and lost a controversial decision.
is Larsen serious about fighting Kessler?
i thought they trained together.
any Valuev-Holyfield updates?
Larsen-Kessler is huge here in Denmark! :boxing:
valuev oldyfield is next i think in a few minutes

wow german bitches are hot. i dunno the judges were probably too busy lookin at her tits or something
lol, I met two German women a while ago here in Montreal and they were smokin' hot and really nice, i can't remember their tits though.
Larsen: The tempo was to high for me in the first couple rounds. Then the fight settled down and I controlled the fight.
My dream is to fight Kessler in front of a packed Parken-stadium. But Kessler doesnt want me. Bute does so it's him next. But I really wanna give Denmark the Kessler fight!
Interviewer: And now for a world title fight?
Larsen: Yeah. I like the view from the top. I want that unknown danish guy Kessler, but he wont fight me so I have to settle for Bute.
Guys got a good sense of humor as well...:lol1:
