If they both retired today (trinidad is most likely retired already) and Calzaghe keeps talking retirement, so if they both retired today... who ranks highers in the All-Time list.
Calzaghe has an undefeated record with wins against
Hopkins (43)
Jones (39 and really shot, face it)
Kessler
Eubank
Trinidad spent a few years known as the best in the game, one of the most respected knockout guys in recent times and with wins against
De La Hoya (Undefeated at the time)
Vargas (Undefeated at the time)
Mayorga
Whittiker
???
How did the Mayorga fight make his top 4?
What happened to his wins over Camacho (who was only 32 at the time), Carr, Blocker, Campas (very good at that time), Joppy.
anyway point being is once you drop down past Joes first couple of fights, the competition level dips severely, while Trinidads stays more consistent as you go down,
solid post!

*I actually got banished from ESB for saying their front page was mere entertainment. Which is why I'm here. The Calzaghe hating is at ridiculous levels on Boxingscene. And I thought ESB had the pick of the illogical fans.
what a retard, what don't you get about tito avoiding whitaker when they were both in the same division and top 10 P4P? I saw Tito beat Whitaker, he was completely shot and it came out later he was addicted to cocaine aswell. Whitaker was not top 10 P4P when Tito fought him. Anyway, my respense was to this Tua guy who said Joe hadn't tried to unify until years into his reign. Tito unified I think something like 7 years into his and for 5 years before that avoided fighting Quartey and Whitaker who were both P4P top 10. Worse than Joe who's only credible challengers to his title came in Lacy and Kessler, who he promptly dealt with, unlike tito who avoided fighting Whitaker ad Quartey all those years

Im talking about you not knowing that Tito had fought Whitaker....... owning yourself by saying he avoided him then coming back with a response after you read up on the fight:lol1:

lets just be honest..
joe its hof.....so is tito.. who ranks higher.. its a matter of oppinions.. what its a fact.. is that joe.. doesnt and never will have the international buzz that tito had in his prime..! :boxing:
Agreed
Trinidad did it the way its supposed to be done when you run out of challenges you move up and fight the best even if you are taking a risk of losing fighting bigger guys.
Calzaghe's best wins are Eubank, Lacy, Kessler & Hopkins. Trinidad's best wins are greater IMO.
Whitaker>Eubank
Reid>Lacy
Vargas>Kessler
De La Hoya>Hopkins
Basically he fought and beat better competition throughout his career spanning three weight classes and winning titles in all three, unifying 147 & 154 along the way.
And was by far the more exciting fighter :boxing:

what r u talking about?
unlike you ****** calzaghe haters who seem to be new to boxing and have no concept on how great a fighter is other than what their record shows boxrec, i lived through both these guys reigns and saw what both could do in the ring and calzaghe trumps tito.

Quick read up works wonders eh? pr-ick

is JC is that good. or was that good. why didnt he moved up in weight to fight light heavy weight, cruiser weight, and heavy weight.
tito fought from welter weight, light middle weight, middle weight, and super middle weight
yeah right, he didn't fight Whitaker when he was top 10 P4p for 5 years and in the same division, but he did fight him when he was a shot cocaine head shell of his former self, better?
Eubank even at that age is better value than beating Joppy was. You're comparing Kessler to Reid? lol Beating Kessler was like Tito beating Hoya, only Tito struggled and Joe shone. and Vargas was Tito's best win. It's the equivalent of Lacy. Reid and Joppy can be the equivalent of Byron Mitchell and Richie Woodhall. And then you have Trinidad's losses and Calzaghe's wins vs Hopkins who went on to school Pavlik and a past prime RJJ who was probably still top 10 at LWH. Calzaghe easy
Quick read up works wonders eh? pr-ick
Eubank was scheduled to fight at LHW not CW so check you're facts. Also how do you think Hopkins deserved to win? He ate more punches than in any of his previous fights...
bottom line Eubank another past his prime fighter on Joe's record
he fought pernell. what are you talking about? look shit up before you talk shit.
quartey lost to delahoya and tito ended up fighting oscar.
vargas , reid and joppy are the equivalent of lacy , kessler and eubank.
maybe he should have fought a shot sugar ray leonard and roberto duran.
that would have been the equivalent of calzaghe's 2 biggest wins.
yeah right, he didn't fight Whitaker when he was top 10 P4p for 5 years and in the same division, but he did fight him when he was a shot cocaine head shell of his former self, better?

Has Calzaghe ever fought 2 divisions higher than his natural weight? NO
Has he ever faced an elite figher with a pulse ? NO
Eubank had two weeks to train for that fight he was scheduled to fight at CW and had to lose weight to get down to 168lbs
Kessler who?
please dont use Hopkins as an example neither man deserved to win that fight but more so Joe he did not land shit he just kept trying and missing that does not win fights in my book.
