nope the times arent changing and floyd gets hated on everyday.. he's the most hated don't you have to train for speed? its cool to have a size advantage if you have it use it.. i just think margarito is good against fighters smaller than him.. anytime he fights a fighter his size or bigger than him he loses lol at this blatant lie.

Boxing divisions are not separated by speed but by weight. That's where the size advantage (or disadvantage) comes into play because some small boxers can only go up so much while bigger framed boxers can actually fight a weight class or two higher, but nonetheless try to make weight in lower divisions where their size and length would give them an edge. And Tony is the first fighter to use his genetic gift? Tommy Hearns anyone? Again his ability to cut weight like that (thats even if he has to) is a god given gift and my question remains the same how is that an advantage?

I like margarito, high volume puncher, great chin, legendary stamina, but he just lacks everything that I find in Paul Williams. Thats the fight I want to see but margarito is looking for the payday and I guess the punisher just cant generate numbers. I dont fault margarito at all though I just hope after getting what he wants he gives back to the sport and fans and give us what we want. Dude has been giving fans what they want for his entire career. Don't forget, he passed up on a Cotto fight to take on Paul in the first place. Since Margarito has an unfair size advantage do to his genetics here are a few other fighters that also have or had unfair advantages against their opponents Mike Tyson in his prime had way to much power and should have only been allowed to fight bears and elephents since they could of taken his shots. Roy Jones JR in his prime also had a gigntic speed advantage and only his sons will be allowed to fight Mayweather in the future. This is obviously a joke thread but the point that I'm trying to make is that every sucessful fighter has had an advantage over their opponents in one way or another and Maragrito's size and chin is no diffrent than Mayweathers speed or Tyson's power. All these fighters were born with these great advantages and if any of you have ever heard of Charles Darwin who coined the phrase survival of the fittest you would understand that these guys were given these gifts at birth and thru genetic evolution. K me whats that??? Green K means positive karma, which people give for a good post. Red K means negative karma, that people give for awful, racist or ignorant posts. It keeps track of how good of a poster you are functionally... that bar that is red or green under people's avatars and the number next to it shows how good of a poster they are theoretically. You have only made a few posts, but you are already gaining a green bar, which generally lets people know that you are a good poster. I gave you green K for this thread, because it is extremely solid in reason. It is stupid to say that any fighter who makes the weight should not be fighting in that weight class. Those are the gifts that make them competitive... speed makes Mayweather competitive, size makes Williams competitive, stamina makes Margarito competitive, power makes Pavlik competitive... Everyone is allowed to use their strengths, and that is what makes the sport diverse and exciting, because there are always more matchups that include new interactions between "styles", which is merely another way of saying, "how does this person's strengths match up against this person's.
