Haye, cocky SOB that he is, is interested in the title of 'Undisputed Heavyweight Champion'. That and the money, obviously. He will get that title, formal or not (it doesn't really matter any more) only in the highly unlikely event of beating the two best fighters in the division, both of whom are named Klitschko. He can only beat them if he fights them. Which bits of alphabet spaghetti they happen to have around their waist is irrelevant unless somebody should actually happen to take them away by winning a fight, in which case Haye would have to fight that somebody instead.
In short, Haye doesn't give a sh*t about the belt. Vitali probably does as the bros are rightly proud about both holding belts at the same time, but not enough not to give it up for the fight if he has to.
I can't see it happening. It was rumoured nobody came up with a purse for Vitali v. Gomez anyway, but even if they could the WBC would be cutting their own throat if they didn't sanction the bout.
I'm pretty sure the only reason Haye is moving up to heavyweight is for the title and if thats his goal why would he fight the heavyweight champion if the titles not on the line...
But that's just what I'm guessing...lol
