Official weigh-in figures
The official weigh-in of IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and his official challenger and former world champion Hasim Rahman (USA) brought the following figures to the scale:
Wladimir Klitschko 244.2 lbs
Hasim Rahman 253 lbs
The fight will be broadcast live Saturday, December 13, by HBO at 5pm EST (2pm PST).
Rahman will get blasted out in 5 rounds with that weight
...Asian Sensation has met both of them and I believe he said Rahman was the biggest(not tallest) boxer he had seen. In that pic Wlad looks as big if not bigger than Rahman. I like the thinner version of Wlad better as I think he moves better and is more fluid. I'm not sure I like him looking this big.
yea,,,244 is one of his highest weights. he's usually right around 240 on the nose. lets hope he's not expecting a quick fight like he was with brew in there first fight. btw,,rahmans got some guns himself. he's thick as hell with enormous hands. too damn slow anymore tho to have much of a chance unless wlad punches himself out again
Big Daddy Riddick Bowe came in at 271.
Isn't that what's really important today? :)
I'm interested to see how he looks; anyone have a stream for the undercards?...
jeez. wlads arms look huge there. sometimes he looks more like a powerlifter than a boxer

I admire his warrior spirit, his unshakable faith, his determination to win and his enormous heart that he was prepared to fight to the death.
I think he's somehow related to Ruslan Chagaev...
Yeah, I know who he is, I was just curious why a man from uk would have him in his sig.
I admire his warrior spirit, his unshakable faith, his determination to win and his enormous heart that he was prepared to fight to the death.
He also trained out of a southpaw stance at the open training.
So, anything goes at this point.
I think Rahman's done everything he can to prepare himself for Wlad. The question is: will it matter?...
What does that man do in your signature?
He was a Chechen warlord who was fighting for independance for Chechnya against Russian. He died in 2004 on the Georgian border trying to cross into Chechnya.
Legend has it (Wikipedia doesn't count as 'legend') that he got involved in a gunfight with half a dozen soldiers on the border. He shot and killed all of them but died from a gunshot wound to the liver.
Even the Russian Specnaz respected and feared him. They nicknamed him the 'Black Angel' because he was such a fearsome warrior.
Let me throw this one out: Yesterday TK Stewart of boxingscene was reporting that Rahman was weighing as low as 238 and had a good training camp. Maybe Rahman's trying to fool Klitschko into thinking he didn't take training seriously and is unprepared and lulling him into a false sense of security. What do you think boxing conspiracy theorists?..
Do you really think his clothes weigh over 10 pounds?
could have had something in his pockets. loads of quarters or something. even just the clothes could have put 5 lbs on the scale. anyway,,we''ll know when he's in the ring. I have a feeling he's in the 240lb range as his former trainor said he was just days ago. hopefully he is. I wanna see a descent fight here
i think rahman is really 240, he lives and dies by the right hand so he'll be loading up to try and catch wlad with the right. other guys have tried and failed. the question is, will rahman last as long as tony" the pussy" thompson did?

yea go figure. he came in at a huge 260 for tua and clearly won the fight only for it to be scored a draw
Right. Ef he would have been lighter, around 240 pounds he would have beaten Tua clearly and won by UD. It makes no sence for Rahman to shred down at 224 like against Holyfield though, because he gives too much physical strenght away. His best weight is around 235 pounds.
He actually looks like his brother in that photo.
Normally his facial feaures are less harsh, and hair lighter.
How I tell em apart.
Really? I can tell them apart because they look different to each other.

Nope. He isnt seeing 6 rounds coming in that out of shape at this point in his career. He either lands a lucky shot early or is battered and knocked out. I just wonder if he gets knocked out in the ring or if he falls out again.
thanks i already checked the pics out on the other site.
actually if you notice, Hasim wears 2 shirts, he's got a grey one underneath the white, and he also wears jeans, and im told boots as well. maybe some stuff in his pockets.?? maybe he's 7-8 pounds lighter than the scale indicated.
against a similar sized opponent in Kali Meehan, Rahman had perhaps the greatest performance in his career, aside for the first 9 rounds with Tua in 1998.
Rahman was 232 for Meehan. The more weight he carries the slower he is. Weight matters.
he had all his shit on when he stepped on the scale

Fighters always seem to want to come in heavy against the giants so they don't wilt in the clinches.
When has that shit ever worked?
yeah I notice that too. it's the biggest joke of a tactic I've ever seen.
look at all of Vitali's opponents
Lewis - career high weight (but Lewis was training for Kirk Johnson originally)
Johnson - career high weight
Sanders - career high weight
Williams - career high weight
Rahman is going to get smoked in this one
He had a shirt on.

I agree that weight doesn't really matter for Rahman but he had his best performances at around 235-240 lbs.

Rahman doesn't seem to be one of those people who does any better at a particular weight. He came in at 224 against Holyfield a few years ago.
yea go figure. he came in at a huge 260 for tua and clearly won the fight only for it to be scored a draw
The trainer he literally just ditched, said he was 242 a couple of weeks ago.
Wearing all that shit in a weigh in, should not be alowd. Makes it a lot less accurate and undermines the whole point in weighing in the first place.
