7 Sins Blocking Manny/Floydy

Big roadblocks ahead: 1. Floydy still retired. Not a peep out of him. Rumours multiply like rabbits in spring over his comeback. DUH! Problem being that re-retirements have the edge over comebacks at this point. 2. He has no promoter and backed out of mid promotion of his last fight to retire, complaining about slave wages that he says made him a billionaire. Who would risk money and effort to have him pull another retirement? 3. Arum. Floydy used Arum as the reason for not fighting Cotto and Marg. Nothing has changed. 4. If he's the best of this era, has a billion bucks in the bank, and was tired with the sport, where's the incentive to come back? Is he tired of being the bestest and only billionaire boy boxer in history? 5. Manny/Ricky is a done deal. With the money on the table and ready for deposit with two willing warriors in perfect alignment, well, promoters don't sacrifice multi millions in the bank for ethereal Floydy in the skye porky pie styled fantasies. 6. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Floydy claims to have it, and in the middle of global financial meltdown, no way can Floydy match his previous projected 20-30 million that he already retired rather than collect. 7. Fans: Manny has herds of them all over the world, and Floydy has them in 50 cent's designer hiphop shorts. Can Floydy endure the humiliation of being booed in his hometown of Vegas yet again? Maybe the fight happens, but Floydy gonna have to show he's ready to fight. Arum has mapped out a golden goose retirement program for Manny who wants to become a politician back home. It don't include Floydy and why should it? He already went through this nonsense with the Gatti fight. Nothing has changed, nor will change unless money is on the table. Problem being, now we're back to #1, money being retired, not on the table waiting to enter the ring. Ignoring all the chump change sagging the usuals suspect's supersized pants, even Floydy Sr is admitting that Manny is in the driver's seat of all of boxing currently, or rather being chauffeured by his HOF promoter Rob Arum. It's a fact that Ricky was revolving his last two fights around the possibility of fighting the winner of Floydy/Oscar which defaulted to Manny/Oscar with Floydy's retirement. Just as well Manny won as it would be a bit unseemly even for the sport of boxing to have Golden Boy Boss Oscar fighting his GoldenBoy star Ricky. Floydy's only weakness has been a love of money which was the impetus behind his retirement when the opportunity came to transform slave wages into a billion buck$. Perhaps in retrospect he's grown bored with trading elbows with HOFers Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, and Warren Buffett and needs an old fashioned splotto style KO to satisfy the itch in his rich beyond your wildest dreams soul. Oh ye of little faith, doubters beware. He, unlike his lessors of common clay, can afford to sit back in his gilded palace and allow the smoke to clear before deigning his next victim. Pac is as much as a welterweight as Floyd is. Both are 149 The only difference is, Floyd fought at Welterweight, even Jr. Middle despite weighing 149. Pac, was 147 pounds for a 135 pound bout. Floyd went up for one reason; the same reason as Pac: O$car. The only difference is, Floyd didn't have Freddie to negotiate so Floyd had to fight a live opponent that was 164+ pounds by fight time. Floyd should have tried to get the fight at 147 like Pac...and, never caved on the gloves...but, Floyd did what Oscar wanted. The good part for Floyd was that for the weigh-ins, all he had to do is show up, take a piss, and make weight. He didn't have to take pills or other means to dehydrate himself to make weight. if floyd is not really a 147 guy then he should have no problems fighting at 140......

The current weigh-in's are the day before as a consequence of the Kim-Mancini disaster. There aint morning weigh-ins or ringside weigh-ins anymore. Perhaps I dont get your point?

Floyd would want his fair share. Anybody know what the % was for the Hatton fight...as well as the Oscar fight? I know he got a lesser cut for Oscar...not sure with Hatton. Either way, if it doesn't make a certain amount of millions for him, I don't think he would come back unless he "wants" it for pride.

Are you his financial advisor or his accountant? Do you even how much it costs to maintain his 'flashy' lifestyle? How do you know Money May will not run out of money?
