Its pretty obvious Oscar is also way past his prime. Oscar has never fought like that before, no strength, no punches no nothing. Its like he killed himself to make weight and left it all in the gym. It just seems like his detractors whether because of jealousy or because they just dont like him, were waiting for this moment to happen to kick him while he's down. No problems with Tony, seen him fight liek 8ys ago and has put in work. He just could have shown more class and acknowledge Oscar's whole career instaed of Oscar's worst night of his storied career. ^^^ Tru dat, but you gotta remember that with boxing comes shit talking(not always), but especially when it comes to a person(oscar) saying he would fight the winner of a fight(margarito) and back out and fight a smaller man(pac) who he thinks he'll ko..... to be fair. De la hoya took teh pacquiao fight thinking he was gonna win real easy, get a bunch of money and propel himself to a hatton/mayweather/margarito fight. Just finished watchin a spanish language sporst show from Los Angeles, in which Margarito came off as a real prick. They interviwed Margarito about his fight with Mosley and his thoughts about the Oscar fight. He said he wanted to fight Osacr in order to avenge Julio Cesar CHavez and that he thought Oscar was not a REAL Mexican. Tony said a real mexican would never of done what Osacr did against manny, but this moron fails to remember tha his idol, Julio Cesar Chavez quit against oscar!! They had this one guy on who said Margarito was Mexican but not Oscar, what a piece of shit!!! Was Manny really smaller though? Oscar looked skinny and frail. Usually he's thin, but he just looked weak in there. Manny was short, but ripped and energetic. Technically, it was Oscar's team who quit for him. Oscar didn't personally say, "that's it i'm done" The fight doctor, Nacho, DLH's brother and Tony Weeks all stepped in for him. DLH knew it was over, but still wanted to fight....but at the same time he knew he was going to get knocked out; so his corner pulled the plug. Politics. Pacquiao was really going in for the kill during the 8th round. Maybe the Mexican community doesn't think DLH is a true Mexican because he speaks English? Its Oscar De La Hoya.
