de la hoya said in an interview that after coming down in weight he felt bad. he said he actually felt better in training camp while he was still around 158 159 160, but as he begin to starve himself he was getting weaker and weaker.
boxingscene reported that de la hoya said he had no power. manny pacquaio's victory is overblown and i gurantee that if he trys to fight another big name guy 140 or over his next fight he loses, beat it hatton or anybody else
Manny beats up Oscar and suddenly he's shot.
Wasn't it Oscar himself who said what am I doing at 154? I can even make 140. I feel strong at this weight.
If it was Floyd in there with Oscar, it could be a split decision for Floyd again, and people wouldn't be saying Oscar was that shot.
Manny did this to Morales and Barrera in case you forgot.
And Holyfield still acts like he is in his Prime ready to unify the titles again.
The last fight with Morales I had a problem with as well...they made Morales make the weight as well instead of having the fight in the next division where Morales asked. Pretty sure that was the big thing. I'm not big on beating a fighter on the scales.
And there were many "rumors" that Oscar was getting beat up in sparring...which people threw to the side.
Not only did Freddie say Oscar was past his prime, but Pac was saying it before the fight as well.
but who believed freddie among the so-called boxing experts? a handful?
granted he was not in his prime but he is far being shot. pac made him look shot. odlh will make hatton run for his money imho. too bad hatton pussied first and fight malignaggi instead.
lol, now that pac had a major pwnage of odlh, he is suddenly shot.
Choice: Listen to so called "experts" or Freddie Roach who was a boxer and is one of the best trainers around...who also happened to train Oscar.
Think.
I don't think he was shot prior to the fight being made. What made him look terrible was the weight loss...which even Freddie points to as an additional reason. It's hard to predict what a fighter is going to show up as. Most I suspect thought he would make weight at 147 and then blow up 10-15 pounds...but he didn't do that; he was actually a Welterweight come fight time. He hadn't fought at 147 in about 7 years; that's a long time and it was used as an advantage for Pac to win. If they didn't need it or didn't think it would affect Oscar, they would have fought him at 154.
Think.
Over-training and the weight-loss kills a fighter...especially an older fighter like Oscar. We've seen this happen many times already and it serves a warning to all fighters as well as fans and the so called "experts" to NOW pay attention if they hadn't already to what to add to the possibilities that could go wrong.
Think.
Teddy Atlas called it prior to the fight...he used it as a possibility as well.
Seriously, don't buy into the expert crap. Think for yourself first...then listen to what is around you before making up your mind...and always be aware of the circumstances and possibilities...remember HISTORY.
Think.
Freddie was the one who worked with Oscar and say he could no longer pull the trigger. Didn't Freddie call Oscar shot after the fight?
Sometimes you can't tell until you get up close to someone; bullets are small.
Think.
Oscar had a great sweat on just before walking to the ring. A weight drained fighter does not sweat up well.
Listen to the expert xcaret.. He knows everything about boxing... What he says is the law... If he says DLH is winning, the expert has spoken and everyone else don't know nothing and should not oppose his views... His excuses are merely a reflection of his manhood. What was that he told me last.. Something along the lines of "If Pacquiao was a natural welterweight he could never beat this version of De La Hoya"... Pacquiao didn't just beat him, he whooped DLH via TKO and he was not a natrual welter.. But we are all ignorant and know nothing... The great boxing guru has tapped inside his expansive boxing brain and formulated his prediction by pure genius... Now his excuses are also ones based on sheer boxing intelligence... All bow down to Hector...Dino is just hater and a false boxing prophet stealing the lime light from Ferocity, Mayan Sun, and Hector; the 3 kings of boxing analysis....

Besides Freddie saying what he said prior to the fight by basically saying Oscar was shot...this is from the interview that was just posted:
8CN – Were you surprised by how little Oscar weighed come fight time?
Freddie Roach – The thing is, he shrunk up his stomach so small that he couldn't get any food in him. I knew that at that low weigh,t after 3 rounds that he would be done. We just looked at that, and I told Manny that we will get him in the later rounds.B]

if you followed 24/7, you would know that de la hoya trained as a welterweight at around 145 while manny trained at around 150. he's trainer and camp wanted oscar to fight at around this weight and thought this would have a positive effect but the opposite happened. as well before the fight even nacho said he was in good condition and did not have problems sparring for 12 rounds
dont tarnish the victory, paquiao won that fair and square. i dont think oscar is as shot as people think he is(watched the fight 3 times), pacman was just 'perfect' tonight imo. south paw + speed(nacho said "you can not handle his speed" before stopping the fight) + peek + style + p4p = pacman tko8 for oscar
give credit to where its due
last time de la hoya weighed this least amout of pounds was 1996 against miguel gonazalez, this fight was a fluke
I know your sad.. Your prediction turn into nightmare... Im felt sorry for you... So stop that excuses..... Oskee can't pull the trigge indeed.... Hatton, Mayweather next..... Pacman will still prevail... You know whats the excuses again?
Here it is...
Hatton - Garbage of Mayweather
Mayweather - Ring rust....
So on and so fourth.....
pacquaio is 1 dimensional with that jab jab staright left, de la hoya would have counter and knocked pacuqaio out normally, or just rush him like he did mayweather, remember the mayweather fight was at 154 and de la hoya came in at 162 on fight night

dlh was already within 140-155 2-3 weeks getting into his training and he had a 2-week headstart compared to manny. he had enough time to shed his weight gradually. even his dream team was boasting about it - it was scientific. moreover, the fact that they accepted the fight meant that they could win the fight. even pac drained himself in the last barrera and jmm fight and walked away victorious.
i just watched the fight again and i believe it was the body punches that made dlh weak. dlh might not be in his prime but pac moving 2 divisions higher from 135 where he only fought once was phenomenal. it's not only winning a fight against an opponent where the boxing experts gave odlh an 8-10 advantage but how pac dismantled and annihilated him. even pbf and b-hop didn't make odlh look bad like pac did.

yeah, but it's also a fact that pac used to fight at 106 lbs
And it's also a fact that Oscar fought at lightweight. It is also a fact that Freddie said Pac was a boy back then and not fully matured. It is also a fact that Freddie said Pac was moving up because Pac was having trouble making 135. It is also a fact that Oscar once weighed 106. It is also a fact that Pac was knocked out a couple of times back in the day for....what was the reason???

What wasn't right was oscar challenging a JR. LIGHTWEIGHT!!!! Then getting SHUT-OUT, BI*CH-SLAPPED, and QUITTING..:boxing:
yeah, dlh got what he deserved... an ass-whupping
I'll go as far as to say that de la hoya isn't done, he was just drained.
I tell you all what, try to lose 20 plus pounds with in 2 months unless your grossly overweight and see if you feel the same.
