Okay this forum is getting out of hand with all the "this fight was rigged" "Oscar didn't try" "Pac vs Cotto!"
Oscar did not throw this fight. HE simply overtrained and has not weighed in at 145 in a very long time. Oscar is also done, if you rewatch his previous fights you could tell he has gotten old. This doesn't change the fact that it was still an amazing victory for Pac and it is good for boxing. Roach and Pac executing a excellent game plan. They continued to throw straight left hands that Oscar had no answer for. Pac needs to go back down in weight because if he fights someone like Cotto or Margarito, he will be made into a bobble head.
Pac vs Hatton would be a interesting match and I'm not too sure what would have happened. One could only wonder what would happen if Pac and Castillo met in their primes...but the time has past for Castillo. Maybe in a year or 2, we can see Pac vs Linares.
One of the biggest winners of the fight last night is Juan Manual Marquez. How good does he look now? He nearly beat Pacquaio twice.
One of the biggest losers in this is Floyd Mayweather Jr. He wasnt able to dominate DLH like Pacquaio did. Watch for Mayweather to come out of retirement and challenge Pacquaio.

Yes but remember DLH was at his preferred weight if he came down to 147 to fight FMJ I feel it mayweather would of been able to dominate him just the same.
Mayweahter was too defensive in theier fight.. he could have done the same considering he has the spped and power.
also we gotta remember that floyd fought dlh at 154

hatton still to big for pac... the key to beating pac is to back him up and that's why hatton fights.
prime castillo too big and strong for pac.
we will never see pac/linares... pac only wants to fight big names

Actually if you watch early in the fight, Oscar was throwing lots of punches and scored a few. He looked fine in rounds 1 and 2. What happened though is that Pac was landing so many straight lefts in leading and countering, that he actually made Oscar gunshy. Oscar felt the snap in Pac's punches and slowly started to unravel as he could not deal with Pac's speed, timing and movement.
Oscar was not shot, just old and too slow for Pacman. Pac on the other hand fought like a man possessed. he gave an amazing performance and really fought a perfect fight. I said earlier he was a lion tamer early in the fight, then became the lion when the opportunity arose. Incredible performance.
